Same sources that are saying Real want to unload Ronaldo and Benzema to get De Gea and Hazard too, from Barcelona, lol..

If we're being serious here, I'd rather we go after a one-healthy-legged Marco Reus than this year's out of form Hazard.

Your avatar :pimp:

That commercial was a killer.

If players like Alexis, Agureo, Suarez can kill it in the EPL, I don't see why Messi couldn't

Right, Alexis is killin it more and shredding people up in the EPL more than he did in Spain, this **** is getting crazy. I can't believe some people would actually use this argument.

Relax... I'm explaining the meaning behind the cold rainy night in stoke... Never said he couldn't handle it.... Jesus.

Do people really think it doesn't get cold and rainy in Spain and Argentina? And again, Stoke aren't physical, they are dirty as @$!@. @Newgodflow as an Arsenal fan, you should know that considering what happened to Ramsey
Yes I remember vividly seeing Ramsey's leg hanging by a thread... Still shocked he's playing professionally after that.

Edit: Stoke fans still boo Ramsey even though Shawcross almost finished his career, classy supporters

I spent a cold, rainy night at Old Trafford watching Arg v Por and almost died from the freezing temperatures that night

would be fun to see messi in the EPL, well only if he came to the gunners lol in my dreams. Supposedly he asked cesc about how it was at Arsenal and says to be an admirer of wenger :nerd:

Yeah it's well known that Messi has been an admirer of Arsenal especially Henry and Wenger.

Lionel Messi On Thierry Henry : "The First day that he came into dressing room , I Did not dare to look him in the face , i knew everything that he had done in England "

Ahh Coupe that completely skipped my mind about your posts. Repped

That English weather man lol

^^^My bad too btw, I said "maybe you were Eurotripping" thinking you were ICECITYFC. Got confused

The temperature in England isn't as bad as people make it out to be, being that close to the arctic poles you'd assume it's cold - but they're a big island thats heavily influenced by the Atlantic Ocean.

Rarely does it stay freezing or stay snowing - In Winter, we get way more colder average temps (if you're from the Midwest or Northeast). - It's just the god damn rain man, thats what just kills everything. It's so depressing and dark

If it didn't rain as much, it'd be like a cooler (colder) version of San Francisco, and it'd be tolerable. But I can't be buying raincoats or dusters and more umbrellas just to visit a place for a week. Literally the only reason why I've only been to England once. I'll go back tho.

I will take the San Francisco winters>English winters 10 out of 10

I want to say I'll never go back again during winter but who knows, if theres another US friendly during that season I'll prob go back over there...

Until then, I'm sticking with trips in August to catch the beginning of the PL.... and even then the tail end of their summers are crap

A place like Stoke on cold February Monday, a team like Leicester/WHU/Palace/Everton right after an away UCL match in Eastern Europe, or any match between Dec 21 and Jan 2... I wouldnt say he's guaranteed to score at will against those teams. But he would certainly provide assists. There arent a lot of great Left Backs in England at the moment. Kolarov? Azpilicueta? Monreal? Rojo/Shaw?

Well I was in Europe recently so I took that as if you meant me lol.

At least in SF you know it's gonna be cold. Most of Europe had bipolar weather. In my study abroad they had an activity day of playing some footy with all the students and it was hot as hell. Once we finished some students cut out early to go to a public pool. Hour and a half later it was hailing Hella hard. That I can't do man lol

Yea I went in the Winter too, it was dark by 3:00pm - it was crazy

Still had a great trip, even tho it rained most of the time (and I was in SUNNY PART of England for half the time). I'd def go back again, just never in the winter. Spring would be more likely.

Speaking about all the weather stuff - man if ya'll are trying to start a Eurotrip ya'll really have to go to Portugal first.

I'm really not saying this because I'm Portuguese - but Portugal has the perfect most ideal weather in Europe. It's exactly like L.A. but a bit warmer in the summer. Only place to surf in Europe (being right on the Ocean and temperate), sunsets are out of this world, and its just the perfect location to start a Europtrip.

Most people start a Eurotrip in Spain and move east - **** that. Madrid weather is terrible (Crazy hot or crazy cold), they're located in a deserted area (no ocean anywhere), scenery is terrible. Starting off in Portugal first then moving east and continuing to Madrid, then Barca, etc. Thats the way to do it.

I convinced two people of that IRL. So if I could convince any of ya'll too, it'd be a win-win. Plus half of Portuguese people speak English

I've actually been thinking about that these last few weeks, about doing Portugal-Spain and moving east before catching a flight to England.... just gotta figure out how to get a few weeks off work, which may prove to be an impossible task

Argentina yes, but then again he only has to play there like once or twice a year if that. Spain not really, the climate on the coastlines of the Iberian peninsula is almost perfect like Coupe just pointed out. That's why Andy Gray said what he did, it barely ever rains or gets cold on the Spanish coast.

Also, for those of you complaining about the International break, you do realize Argentina vs. Brazil is on tonight at 7 PM right? It doesn't get much better than that.

Well if you get the time off do the right thing

Start off in Portugal, do your thing there - then go to Madrid - only like a 5 hour car/train ride anyways. But Waittttt, if you're really trying to do it right thing - Start off in Portugal, go North to Galicia, Spain (another beautiful place & culture) then BOOM! - Right there, you need to decide whether its worth it to go to Madrid. (Most of the time it's not unless you want to see Real Madrid )

If you decide it's not worth it to see Madrid, you'd be in a perfect location to just continue East and you'll eventually end up in Basque Country (which is a must), then Barcelona ,and then BOOM you're in France. From there on out, I can't help you anymore until you reach Paris or decide to stay on the beautiful French coast headed towards Italy. But if Paris is your way to get to England, everything between Paris & Barcelona isn't worth it and I wouldn't be able to save you if find yourself in a "Taken Hostage" like situation.

So good luck rck

Agreed with Coupe, Portugal is the one of the most underrated countries to visit not just because we're biased Portuguese or cause of the weather (I actually hate summer there cause it's too hot, have to take 2-3 showers a day ) but because of the value as well. It's a poor country so Uber, taxis, food, beer, wine, airbnb, etc are all dirt cheap. Clubs and bars are open til 5-6 AM. You can rent a 2 bedroom ocean view apartment with some friends, visit historic sites, eat out and party 24/7 for a whole weekend and not even spend $100 total :pimp:

Overall Asian countries are 100x more fun to visit than European countries IMO because of the similar nightlife but with MUCH better food and more interesting cultures, but Portugal and Spain are the 2 exceptions for me.

SFC - Portugal was too hot for you in the summer? It barely goes over 90? It'll be like 85-88 degrees in Lisbon and like 82-85 degrees in Porto, no humidity. Thats too hot for you man?

NoCal f'ed you up man. In Madrid it'll be 100 degrees and the air quality will be at danger levels. Now thats HOT

I went to Lisboa for 2 weeks in June and it was 95-100 the whole time. I usually have bad luck with weather every time I visit  night time weather is always amazing though. You can be outside at 4 AM and it'll be as cold as slightly chilly day time weather at worst.

But yeah, living in the Bay Area does change your tolerance for hot weather. It's around 70-75 degrees here 90% of the year, so anything above 80 is hot as hell to us
