Hmm that's strange given how LVG was downplaying whatever he suffered against Leicester. Don't remember him limping off though, thought it was more of a contact injury to his torso. Now I read LVG today saying that it's serious enough to rule him out of Wolfsburg next week too...:nerd:

Apparently this wasn't the first time it's happened to Rafa...

It also happened when he was coaching Valencia, that team got kicked out of the Copa also because of ineligible players

Yeah, I read about that!  Incredible.

What a time to be a Barca fan

Looking back on his record,I'm shocked that Flo still has as much pull/power as he has. This is what Real have won *under his leadership...

Not all that impressive for the so called "biggest club" in the world

The one argument Real has, is that they weren't told about Cheryshev's suspension. They had nothing to gain by intentionally playing him unless people believe RM/Rafa is that incompetent which is probably a strong possibility. Sigh.

Don't really blame him given the current state of affairs at the club

I think the issue is that they should've known.

Manchester United are preparing an £8m bid for 16-year-old West Ham's Reece Oxford, according to The Times

The youngster has made just six first-team appearances for the Hammers, but has impressed during his short stint in the senior side.

Some good news for Southampton fans after that 6-1 defeat against Liverpool as manager Ronald Koeman has confirmed the club won't be selling any players in January for any price.

And that includes Sadio Mane, who continues to interest Manchester United.

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho says there is no reason for speculation over the future of striker Diego Costa.

Listen to what Mourinho has had to say about recent stories claiming the Spain international was set to leave Stamford Bridge next summer...

LOUIS ON THE LOOKOUT]Louis van Gaal says Manchester United are interested in recruiting in January, but has given no guarantees that he will make any signings.

“We are looking, but as you know it is not so easy to buy players and in January it is more difficult,” he said a press conference today. “We are looking but it is not for sure.”

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez hopes club legend Zinedine Zidane will coach his side in the future, but insists current boss Rafa Benitez is a “great coach”.

Benitez, who replaced Carlo Ancelotti in the summer, is already facing questions over his long-term future at the Bernabeu following recent La Liga defeats at the hands of Sevilla and Barcelona.

Zidane, who is in charge of Real's reserve side Castilla, has been touted as a possible replacement for Benitez if the Spaniard vacates his post.

"I love Zinedine Zidane, both as a coach and previously as a player," Perez said at a press conference on Thursday. "He's learning his trade to be a great coach, and I think that's what he's going to be and I wish him the very best. And if one day he becomes coach of Real Madrid, it'll be a pleasure.

“But at this moment in time we have a great coach, he's on the right track and we have to let him work. We put in a bad performance against Barcelona, but now we're getting ourselves back on course.”

QPR have confirmed the appointment of Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink as their new manager on a rolling contract.

Hasselbaink led Burton Albion to promotion from League Two and then to the top of League One but will now try his hand at leading QPR back to the Premier League.

“I am happy to get the opportunity here and to lead the QPR family," said the former Chelsea forward.

Barcelona are considering re-signing Villarreal midfielder Denis Suarez, reports Mundo Deportivo.

The Catalans sold the 21-year-old to Villarreal in August, but as part of that deal they have an option to buy him back for €3m next summer or €6m in 2017.
