Hmm that's strange given how LVG was downplaying whatever he suffered against Leicester. Don't remember him limping off though,thought it was more of a contact injury to his torso. Now I read LVG today saying that it's serious enough to rule him out of Wolfsburg next week too...

It also happened when he was coaching Valencia,that team got kicked out of the Copa also because of ineligible players

The one argument Real has, is that they weren't told about Cheryshev's suspension. They had nothing to gain by intentionally playing him unless people believe RM/Rafa is that incompetent which is probably a strong possibility. Sigh.

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez hopes club legend Zinedine Zidane will coach his side in the future, but insists current boss Rafa Benitez is a “great coach”.
Benitez, who replaced Carlo Ancelotti in the summer, is already facing questions over his long-term future at the Bernabeu following recent La Liga defeats at the hands of Sevilla and Barcelona.
Zidane, who is in charge of Real's reserve side Castilla, has been touted as a possible replacement for Benitez if the Spaniard vacates his post.
