i really like the deal for bayern. 2 year loan is perfect cause he probably won't get a ton of burn this season, but next year more chances should open up. with the option to buy after year 2 for 20 mill its not bad at all.

CHICAGO (Aug. 30, 2015) – U.S. Men’s National Team head coach Jurgen Klinsmann has named the initial 23-player roster that will gather for friendlies against Peru and Brazil in the final preparation games before the decisive Oct. 10 playoff against Mexico at the Rose Bowl for a spot in the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup.

The U.S. faces Peru, which finished third in Copa America this summer, on Sept. 4 at RFK Stadium in Washington D.C. (7 p.m. ET; FOX Sports 1, FOX Sports Go, UniMas, Univision Deportes Network) and four days later meets five-time World Cup champion Brazil at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts (8 p.m. ET; ESPN Networks, UniMas, Univision Deportes Network).

“The bigger picture is to get some answers for how we put things together for the Mexico game a month from now,” said Klinsmann. “Obviously we want to continue to have a good flow of guys from the Gold Cup, but also to bring back guys who are in position to compete for a spot on the roster for Oct. 10. Our message to these guys is simple: prove a point that you want to be at the Rose Bowl.”

A total of 15 players from the group were a part of the team that represented the United States this summer at the CONCACAF Gold Cup, and 12 join from the 2014 FIFA World Cup squad. The roster is loaded with experience, boasting an average of nearly 27 caps. Three players have 50 or more appearances, while only five have 10 caps or less.

Matt Besler and Jermaine Jones could see action for the first time since February and fellow 2014 World Cup teammates Geoff Cameron and Tim Howard are back in the mix for the first time in 2015. Meantime, SV Sandhausen forward Andrew Wooten will make his first appearance in an MNT camp, the 25-year-old having scored five goals in the first five games this season.

Toronto FC midfielder Michael Bradley and Seattle Sounders FC forward Clint Dempsey will be added to the U.S. roster for the match against Brazil, and goalkeeper William Yarbrough will return to his club and be replaced by Chicago Fire ‘keeper Sean Johnson. Any additional changes will be determined following the game against Peru.

Roy Hodgson has named his squad for the Euro 2016 qualifiers against San Marino and Switzerland.

Among the 22-man group is Swansea City midfielder Jonjo Shelvey, who will be hoping to add to his solo cap, which was earned in October 2013 against San Marino.

There is also a return for Manchester United left-back Luke Shaw, who last featured for the senior side in their 3-1 victory against Scotland in November 2014.

And following his impressive performances for Stoke City this season, former Under-21s captain Jack Butland is back with Hodgson's group.

The only uncapped member of the group is Burnley goalkeeper Tom Heaton – although he was part of the squad for the June fixtures against Republic of Ireland and Slovenia.

The Three Lions take on San Marino in Serravalle on Saturday 5 September, before returning home to Wembley Stadium to take on Switzerland three days later.

As well as the carrot of maintaining their 100 per cent record – following six victories from six – Hodgson's side could seal qualification for France during in the forthcoming double-header.

Manchester United are best represented, with four players in the squad that will report to St. George's Park on Tuesday.

Manchester City, Arsenal and Everton each have three – while Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur have two representatives within the group.



Stoke City, Burnley, Leicester City, Chelsea and Swansea City all have one player in the squad to make up Hodgson's 22.

And captain Wayne Rooney will be viewing the fixtures as the ideal opportunity to become the first Englishman to score a half-century of goals for his country.

Currently on 48, and just one behind Sir Bobby Charlton's all-time record, the Manchester United forward will go into the games knowing he is on the brink of history.

Commenting on the announcement, England manager Roy Hodgson said: "On this occasion we are obviously missing some players from the June matches. However this is compensated by the fact we have players who weren't available over the summer.

"Jonjo Shelvey gets another chance as he has been very impressive since the start of the season whilst Ryan Mason has been unlucky with us - he picked up an injury the last time he was in the England squad.

"This latest squad shows we are working a good number of players with a claim to be England regulars and secure a place in Euro 2016.

"Before that there are two matches we must focus on. The players must keep going, play well and look to win every match. I don't want any let up and we want to win both these games."

With Evans being sold I want to believe a new CB will be signed.

What has Rojo done to signal that he doesn't want to be here? All he's said and done off the pitc,mostly ob social media,would tell me otherwise especially while he's been benched but I dunno. He should be close to match fitness by now no? I remember seeing that he played Ajax's b squad last week.
