Can't please everybody. Where's Truth Serum to tell us how **** Memphis is???

Nobody better be talking any of this Lord Woodward garbage anymore in this thread

Dude would have been better off investing that Anthony Martial money into an alternative energy source because I think we're witnessing a changing of the guard in Manchester with City's oil money. I thought this was an important window for United to rebuild their brand, and instead imo City is the one that pushed their profile up a notch while United might have dropped down.

Obviously there's still the possibility that things go back to "normal" in a few seasons, but imo this could be a very pivotal point for English club football for a very long time. I feel bad for Bastian. I think that many of us thought United were going to challenge for the EPL and make a stride back to their place of relevance in Europe. They did nothing. If Memphis pans out and they don't bring other players around him, well congratulations on developing another world class winger for Real Madrid

I really think United is at a place where their only hope to be back on top of English football (forget Europe) in the near future is for Pep to come. I think LVG's reputation with players has also taken a hit.

As a United fan I would hate to see us becoming the new Liverpool :smh: :x

Also, as polarizing as LVG is, I would only get rid of him for Klopp/Pep/Simeone.

I think it's been mentioned here, but my buddy (ManU fan) finally showed me the video of Van Gaal calling Chris Smalling....Mike Smalling

We then discussed how the players in the dressing room probably don't respect him as much after seeing what Di Maria had to say, VV refusing to play with the reserves and De Gea wanting out so badly. It's almost like a David Moyes 2.0 fiasco again.

The Martial signing just tops it off :pimp:

Dude in my avy (which I've been meaning to change to a certain player that will finally break out with RM this season) > LVG

wow just read ribery is expected out for the rest of 2015 and will be reevaluated for the new year :frown:

A lot of people are talking about Martial's fee. Granted at this point, I don't even know what the fee is, since I've seen about 4 different fees. But the reality is, from what I'm reading, it's something that all English clubs are going to have to get used to. I read some article that was along the lines of saying the new TV deal has allowed English clubs to have first choice at upcoming players, but they will essentially get taxed like crazy cause everyone in the world knows their league is paying ridiculously well. I think we're about to see the beginning of another hike in upward spending trends for players coming to the Prem...

Has it's pros, and it's cons though.

These past couple months of the transfer window ending like this...

For the most part I find the pretty boring. The summer when all we heard about was Gareth Bale was particularly awful.

The only genuinely exciting deadline day for me was 2008 with the Robinho debacle. I think Sky and the other big broadcasters / media sources have been hoping and praying for something like that again since, hence the ridiculous hype each year

Fee for Anthony Martial is £36.3m. [Times] #MUFC
In relation to all those rumors of a falling out with LVG:
@ManUtdUpdates_   1h1 hour agoRojo: "I talked to LvG when I returned and was upset by everything that had happened but he said he was counting on me." #MUFC
So apparently this deal collapse didn't have much to do with us/Woody after all...

LFP say De Gea’s documents arrived at 00:28. [AS] #MUFC
Manchester United registered De Gea on time with FIFA TMS. Real Madrid failed to register with LFP.[@gstobart]#MUFC

starting to wonder if RM intentionally botched this so they could get de gea free next summer. if true, it would be insane if it came to bite them in the *** and they had a transfer ban next summer

This is exactly what might happen and they'll be yelling #Perezout once again

*Apparently Woody was working on another BIG deal in the works that may/may not have fallen through at the moment...
*Word is that Arsene is in Paris not just for media appearances...

LMAO @ the ebay snipe.

What a mess though.  It makes sense for Madrid to wait it out though, doesn't it?

The next question is, will we see DDG start now?

Here's a picture of a disgusted Claudio wearing a hat too small for him, after we went 1-0 down, to cheer everyone up who's having a bad deadline day.

Guillem Balague: "The De Gea deal looks over, Manchester United are blameless and did nothing wrong. Real Madrid are the ones who are to blame"
