So, apparently AS Monaco received a better offer than Manchester United from another club for Martial.

Manchester United's new hero Anthony Martial has the potential to go down as a club great. It's very early days and despite a great start he could also end up as a flop, but the ingredients are there for a nice career story. AS Monaco vice president Vadim Vasilyev is helping that along. Speaking to Spanish newspaper Marca, Vasilyev explained that despite Manchester United's huge €50m (plus €30m in bonuses) offer, it wasn't the biggest bid which arrived for Martial.

Another club offered Monaco a bigger fee and were also prepared to let the young striker continue in Ligue 1 for another season before making the trip to his new club.

Vasilyev explained "There was another club that offered even more than United. I will not say how much, but the fixed price, without variables, it was even better. And also they offered us to have him for a further year in Monaco. But the boy wanted to go to Manchester, it was his dream. And we let him go with the bonus of 30 million. Had it not been for so much money, he'd have stayed."

:smokin
Martial :pimp:.
He probably didn't want to get loaned out to death if that's the case

perhaps.

It does say he'd be loaned to Monaco for the rest of the year, maybe awaiting to get rid of Falcao or Remy.

Meh, who knows really since it didn't go down it's a what if scenario.

Kinda ******ed to sit here and give it much thought tbqhwy fam

Never understood why Kaka fell off so damn hard

That piece of %#$@ played like absolute @#$% when he was subbed in vs. Bayern in the CL semi of that 11/12 season.

We would have mopped the floor with Chelsea in that final too, THAT is the squad that should have won La Decima.

Anyway, Real had a little tribute for Ronnie today.

Martial is legit. It's not a matter of if he'll be good, it's just a question of how good.

And please, let's not throw the word Clasico around. There is only one. Especially for a match involving Marseille, or Dortmund (no disrespect.)

 Fine. Derby derby derby :pimp:

Yeah, really enjoy watching palace play. Same kind of counter attacking style as Leicester. Good to watch.

Watching in a pub in sunny Norwich, C'MONNNNN YOUUUUU BLUESSSSDS

Yeah I like watching Palace play. I feel like this club has a lot of potential like one day this club could be finishing consistently in the top six.

Nicest name too, and if not the nicest its tied with Arsenal for best name.
