The thing is fans will say the league is weak either way, to suit their argument, that's what annoys me.
Leicester top of the league? The Premier League is weak.
Oh look, City, Chelsea, United and Arsenal competing for the title again? There's no competition the league is weak.
We're joint top because we've been better than 18 other teams, and we're only behind the 19th team on goal difference. We've not beaten any of the so called "Top 4" bar Chelsea, who are having an awful season, but let's not ignore the fact that we've beaten Norwich, West Brom, West Ham and got something at Southampton, all of which have beaten Arsenal or at least took a point. Bournemouth beating United, Stoke beating City and United.
The league is stronger this year, people just don't like to admit it because it doesn't suit them.
I'm with you Heggsy.
Shade gets thrown at you guys every week, but you're winning.
Manchester United, Liverpool, Chelsea... They're like the Chicago Bulls, Lakers, and Celtics of football. They're washed right now, but since Cleveland, Houston, and Golden State are out here cookin' the league is "weak". All because its not what it used to be for them.
I hope you continue to have a good campaign and come back next year just as strong.
Let's be fair, if Mourinho could face Wenger every week he would never have been fired
Too bad he doesn't tho.
I agree with @HEGGSY
I think it means the league is getting stronger. The fact that City, Arsenal,United, Chelsea, Liverpoolare not necessarily struggling but having to deal with the competition getting better now meaning they won't cruise through the league. People will say those teams have world class talent and the money and should cruise trough the league and only have to worry about each other and teams like Leicester, Watford, Palace and Stoke shouldn't give them trouble but I think the players on those teams and they way they are being managed right now might be better than we give them credit for. And lets not forgot clubs like Spurs, West Ham, Swansea and Everton have always been ready to give the top clubs trouble for years. and I don't think any of this is because the top clubs are getting weaker sure they aren't performing to their old standard (not including City cause our old standard used to be **** depending on how far back we are talking about ) to me it has more to do with the middle table clubs are getting stronger. I think this is a great thing for the league.
I agree
