This. Big supporter of LVG before the Powell-Mata move last night, playing two u-21s over Young at fullback, finally playing 1 pivot and you got a terribly unfit Bastain covering that position, where he was burned all night. He can't defend some of those moves on a must win situation.LVG was signing his death warrant that's what he done. I said the tide was turning weeks ago but now it has gone full sail. Pretty much everyone wants him gone now. It's similar to Moyes now, when only the rose tinted fans have faith in him. The only question is will he see the season out, I say yes but he has to go in the Summer.
I think the RVP and Nani situation honestly was a bit naive. I'm going to assume the thinking was that other players would come in, but you know the old saying about a bird in hand. So there I agree with you.
However, I highly doubt the Rooney situation is in LVG's hands. I (and many others) think that Rooney's guaranteed starter position is a contractual obligation that was put in place between Rooney and the club. There is no reason on earth why Rooney is still constantly playing with his performances.
Di Maria didn't want to be at United. End of story.
Bringing on Powell in the middle of an important MUST win game is absolutely ludicrous, and it's a decision that I'll never understand. People have been saying maybe Giggs had more of an influence on that choice but as a manager surely the buck stops with you, and you had to have seen that was a stupid decision before making it.
I'm not mad at the Memphis situation. He needs time to adjust to players, system etc. When he was dropped, I was actually quite happy about it.
The situation that has really grinded my gears was the Herrara situation, but I believe that goes right back to the Rooney saga.
I'm conflicted between losing today and hoping the squad makes a run in Europa League (which still has some strong competition) or beating Porto today and taking the payout and using that for future transfers.
Coupé It
Whether that contractual obligation that I'm thinking of is actually on paper or not, is neither here nor there in my mind. I firmly believe that the board is forcing LVG's hand on Rooney as he's meant to be the great english hope for the most successful club in England. He's meant to be the flagship marquee player, when you think about the marketing side of the business (Rooney's face is EVERYWHERE) I can see why the board is pushing for Rooney to always play. We've seen LVG drop players, fire RVP with ease, but for some reason, Rooney gets special treatment (history shows Rooney consistently gets special treatment across 3 managers now).
Falcao gonna be in LA or NY in no timeSpeaking of MLS,apparently Falcao has interest in joining...
Also looks like Vela's gonna go to the Fire

Yea, I've alluded to that too but it's not something we can prove... SAF didn't have a problem benching Rooney, where was the United Marketing team then? Plus wouldn't winning games and being a better team add more value to the marketing managers at United? Rather than the rest of the Footballing world look at Rooney struggle on the field, and start claiming he's washed. I don't know man, I still got to hold LvG accountable unless I hear otherwise.
But yes, I think Carlo is a great possibility, he said he'd love to manage United. If he's available, why not? The Pep situation - Pep is a diva himself and I'm sure it's frustrating negotiating with him - but why not try. I could see those two being viable options, so discussing the exit of LvG isn't as 'counterproductive" as it would seem. Thats me tho.
"that Sacramento team"Send Falcao and Rooney to that Sacramento team rck's always talking about
He'd love it
here's to rooting for all EPL teams catching L's today
The greatest manager in the history of the sport pretty much had free reign to do exactly as he pleased. And you're comparing this manager to the doings of one successful manager, and one mid-table mediocre manager.
History has shown LVG will gladly bench stars, and egos.
History has shown that Rooney always gets special treatment, even before LVG ever donned the red, black and white tie.
But by all means, you can continue to believe the board has nothing to do with this. The same board that was held ransom by Rooney twice. The same board that was convinced by Rooney and his agent that he's worth his outrageous wages (including a percentage of marketing rights).
I genuinely believe the board see's Rooney as a symbol for the club.
"that Sacramento team"
but tbh I would love it. thats probably my biggest fear if we get an MLS team and we don't get ANY notable international players... like Chicago or Colorado etc
Sacramento Republic FC, and probably yes especially after the MLS announced they are shooting to expand to 28 teams.Sorry, whats the name of the team again? and are they going to be in the MLS one day?"that Sacramento team"
