They shouldn't move either players until the managers get there and then have them make that decision to help build the team to their liking. They still have Deulofolu, Kleverly, Mirallas and most importantly Barkley.

I agree 100% about not moving those players until the new manager is hired but I get the impression from the "reporting" that Lukaku wants to leave ASAP to play CL footy. You would be hard pressed to find that kind of production without having to pay top dollar (which I don't think the Toffees have even with the new majority owner). Not sure if Stones is pushing to leave but his name is definitely popping up a lot, now more than ever.

I'd keep all Euro/Copa talk in here myself.

Stops the arguments when the inevitable 'oompa lumpas' start getting involved

We'll get the oompa loompas regardless.

My 2 cents is to keep this thread & start the new one when the next campaign starts for all the domestic leagues. I think the Copa & Euro kinda fits in the cycle of this thread.

So Messi's defense in his tax fraud case is that he just played football, signed the docs, & trusted his father & his lawyers? :rolleyes :smh:

He just signed the docs... :rolleyes :smh:

If that's really true, how stupid is that?!??!

With the kind of doe he makes, just blindly signing docs is suicidal. He's opening himself to be fleeced by his pops & lawyers. What a "maroon"...

To be fair, I think that's really the case.

how many times do we hear stories of people who  believe their handlers actually have their best financial interests in mind but are really out there funding their own selves

and trying to finesse themselves a bigger cut

Messi should've signed with Mendes

Same with Neymar instead of his Pops who keeps getting him caught up in tax fraud

I told my son if he ever happens to make it big (he's not), I just wanna be the kit man... LMAO, it's what I do now... His kits & boots are always fresh... He gets a pair or practice boots & game day boots... He starts with a new club in the fall which has really dope UA kits that are Maryland inspired...

Neymar & Messi's fathers look & seem like scumbags (even before they got into tax problems). I hate old dudes that try & dress super young. I mean I know they get free Adidas & Nike gear but them dudes look like them old guys that get the bootleg short sets from the swap meet...

Edit - If my son got super serious, he could possibly at least get a college scholarship but I try not to be one of those sports dads that push hard. That doesn't mean we don't work on his game. Despite the lack of teaching from his now old club, he's worked pretty hard on reading the game, playing like a winger should, & his dribbling/attacking. He's really learned to come at defenders full speed with an array of moves to get around so he can pass or score. We've also been working on his off the ball movement & when to & when not to overlap on plays.

As long as you're not a Neymar control helicopter dad type then I don't see any problem with that . Glad to hear lil psk is still doing his thing on the pitch :pimp:

In other youngster news...it's official

Happens in all sports, it's sad. Especially when it's a family member, you're a father at the end of the day and you have a responsibility to protect you son/daughter. But I do think part of that, is that sometimes the father/agent feels that the less the know, the less they have to worry about and can focus on training and playing. So when some players say they didn't know, that really is the case.
It does irk me a little when I read about family members representing players

If Everton sell Lukaku & Stones, Unai Emery is stupid if he leaves Sevilla for Everton.

Even with it's new majority owner, selling off it's 2 best assets continues to make that club look like it's more interesting in maintain the status quo and/or a selling club.

Same thing for de Boer, I hope neither end up with this job. It just looks like a miserable job.

Koeman is also linked with going to Everton, a Dutch source said he was on his way to Liverpool today.

Kimchi Papi Kimchi Papi keep your son focused and on the straight and narrow. We could use a technically skilled superstar on the wings after the current crop of USMNT players retire.

So hyped for the Copa America to start. Time to see what the future holds if we get to see the young guys make moves the next few games.

Muller for golden boot for me.

Would not be at all surprised to see Martial snag it though

I feel the same way, might even be tough to get out of their group. I could see Ibra and the Swedes making a push for 2nd place.

Muller's a solid pick, him or Griezmann would be my picks

Poland is centered on Lewandowski and be relying on him to get the goals. Spain, France, Germany are all team oriented play, they don't care who get the goals. With that said, Muller always scores in tournaments so he's my second favorite. I can see him get two or three against N. Ireland and two against Ukraine. Sometimes 5 goals is enough to get golden boot. 6-7 is usually it but I can see him get one more after group stages. Just my opinion. Who do you guys got?

Silly season rumor #4081 - Neymar has been offered to Madrid for €192m per Spanish radio La Cope.

http://en.as.com/en/2016/06/02/football/1464864944_325707.html

Edit - Let me add if/when Neymar leaves, I can legit see him going to Madrid. I wouldn't be mad though.

There is chatter of the mounting pressure on the Barca board due to Madrid's undecima. The rumors go on to say the club is getting ready to spend big to aquire Marquinhos, Stones, Pogba, & Nolito also pushing back the Camp Nou project a bit to spend on these players.

Nice thought though...

Adriano to Lazio...

Rumor of Alves possibly going to PSG or United instead of Juve.

His open letter of farewell.

“In one month it will be eight years since my arrival at FC Barcelona. In July 2008, I joined this club and I took the kit in which I have lived the most important accomplishments of my career. From day one, from the first training under the orders of Pep Guardiola, until the last of this last season, I have had the fortune to passionately enjoy my football.

“I have dozens, hundreds, of images recorded in my mind of moments shared with you at the Camp Nou and on the streets of Barcelona… many goal celebrations, and happiness at winning titles. I am a privileged, honoured worker and footballer, whom life has allowed me to wear the shirt of the best club in the world in a prodigious decade for the quality of its players and coaches. “

I could mention one by one all the extraordinary people with whom I have had the pleasure of overcoming challenges and difficulties in the many ways that have been presented throughout this time, but I prefer to give them a set thanks, because in the Barcelona locker room there is no room for individuality: We all win, we all lose. And we work together. And pulling the ship, presidents, ‘misters’ (managers) coaching staff, club workers … all of them thank you very much because they have always rewarded my efforts with their trust and support.

“With this letter I just wanted to let you know that I made the decision to seek a new challenge in my career, because you have to know when the finish each stage at the correct time. And my point is this. I go, but I will return, because I’m a culé more. Thanks for making me feel loved.”

Damn, PSG rumored to be aggressively pursuing Coutinho. Pool fans are pissed on the twitter too... TalkSport says Pool rejected a £45m pid from PSG.
