ESPN did another kit value article, this time its top 10 in Europe (outside of the BPL)

Good stuff. Blows my mind how little Dortmund makes in comparison. A top top team with very well respected coaches, youth talent and fan base. You can do nothing but tip your hat to a team that runs it's business so professionally and sound. It's no wonder Rolls Reus has not/will not leave his hometown team. Yung Totti :pimp:

BAYERN IN FOR DE BRUYNE?

Definitely not, say the German champions. Despite reports suggesting the Munich side could try and gazump long-time admirers Manchester City over Kevin De Bruyne, Bayern spokesman Markus Hoerwick told reporters about the Wolfsburg midfielder: "We will definitely not become active in the matter of De Bruyne. This is something the board has decided for some time."

MILAN MAKE BALOTELLI ENQUIRY

AC Milan have made an enquiry to Liverpool to take Mario Balotelli on loan, Sky Sports News HQ understands.

Balotelli has been told to look for a new club before the transfer window closes and he was given the weekend off to travel to Milan.

Reports in Italy suggest that Liverpool have agreed to cover part of his £100,000-a-week wages to allow the loan move to go through, although Liverpool are yet to comment on this.

Our colleagues at Sky Italia have confirmed Balotelli is back at his family home in Brescia - they expect to have more developments on his potential loan move to Milan this afternoon.

LIVERPOOL WAIT ON LUCAS OFFER

Liverpool midfielder Lucas Leiva will only be sold if the club receives an appropriate offer, according to Sky sources.

We understand talk of the Brazilian’s exit is premature.

As a result, the situation at Anfield has not changed and Lucas has travelled with the squad for tonight’s Monday Night Football game with Arsenal.

BORINI RUMOURS 'PREMATURE'

Liverpool striker Fabio Borini is not close to securing a move to Inter Milan, according to Sky sources.

While it is thought Borini would prefer to move to Inter, we understand Liverpool are yet to receive an approach from the Italian club.

To date only Sunderland and Fiorentina have made contact about taking the player.

YARMOLENKO TO EVERTON OFF

Everton have decided to look elsewhere after failing to agree a deal for Andriy Yarmolenko, according to Sky sources.

We understand Everton are still keen to add a new No 10 to the squad before the transfer window closes, with Shakhtar Donetsk’s Brazil international Bernard a target.

SUNDERLAND ENTER DE GUZMAN RACE?

Sky Italia are reporting that Napoli have an agreement in place with Sunderland to loan Jonathan De Guzman.

The Dutchman would cost the Black Cats £1million for the season, at the end of which he would join on a permanent deal for £3.25million.

We understand the choice between Bournemouth or Sunderland is now down to De Guzman.

EVERTON CLOSING IN ON RODRIGUEZ

Sticking with arrivals at Goodison Park, and Everton are closing in on the signing of Uruguayan striker Leandro Rodriguez from River Plate Montevideo, according to Sky sources.

His coach, Juan Ramon Carrasco, was quoted over the weekend saying: “He is gone. (The) Club told me of an offer from Everton. He deserves it.”

We understand discussions are taking place, and that something may happen in the coming days.

The 22 year-old has dual Italian nationality and scored 9 goals in 23 games for the club last season.

BAYERN: MULLER NOT LEAVING

Bayern Munich are adamant that there will be no more departures from the club this summer, reports Goal.

Bayern sporting director Matthias Sammer have confirmed no one will be allowed to leave the Allianz Arena this summer, including Manchester United target Thomas Muller.

He told reporters: "We will need every player. I think that there is nothing more that could happen."

CUADRADO DEAL EXPECTED TODAY

Chelsea midfielder Juan Cuadrado is all set for a season-long loan to Juventus.

Juve General manager Beppe Moratta is hopeful of concluding the deal today.

The Colombia international arrived at Stamford Bridge in February for £26million from Fiorentina and has started just four Premier League games.

Word to these Neymar/Muller rumors

That Cuadrado signing has to be the most head scratching of last season

This isn't real right?
There's a report from a brazilian paper making the rounds and says that Neymar was the primary subject of discussion when Woody flew to Barca last week.

All this is surely being put out there to pressure Barca into renewing Neymars contract just like Ramos . Gotta stop wasting time on these unrealistic targets

I know the united kit has had record sales, but I just don't see how Adidas can make these huge contracts. They even just paid James harden 200 million for a shoe deal! Adidas is spending mad amounts of money on soccer jerseys, when I don't think that people are willing to spend $100 usd for a jersey every year.

Pretty sure Adidas is making billions every year and it's not like they're paying the total sum of the contracts in one year

Nike makes more then Adidas, and to me, when Nike is saying that Adidas is paying too much, then I would prob listen to them. Adidas might be doing the right thing, but I feel like they are getting a bit desperate with these contracts.

Iñigo Martínez welcomes return of Asier Illarramendi to Real Sociedad
by Tom Conn | Posted on Monday, August 24th, 2015
Real Sociedad centre-back Iñigo Martínez admitted that he’d love to have Real Madrid defensive midfielder Asier Illarramendi back at the club, as the two sides near an agreement over the player’s transfer.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Real Sociedad are very close to reaching an agreement with Real Madrid over the return of Illarramendi, just two years after the defensive midfielder was the most expensive transfer for a Spanish player in history.

Real Sociedad president Jokin Aperribay spent the entire weekend tirelessly ironing out the details of the return of the Basque star and his former teammate, Iñigo Martínez sent out a public message to Illarramendi, urging the 25-year-old to come back to Anoeta.

“You can’t doubt Illarramendi’s quality. He had a great year here and he’s the type of player that every team, including ours, would love to have. Playing with Illarra changed many things, if a team like Real Madrid paid that much for him, it’s for a reason and he gives a lot to that team. La Real could really use a player like him.”

Real Madrid spent €32.1 million for the up-and-coming Illarramendi in the summer of 2013, but the 25-year-old failed to solidify his place as Luka Modric’s pivot partner, prompting the club to bring Toni Kroos from Bayern Munich last season and play him in place of the Basque starlet.

Illarramendi again looks to be on the outs under new manager Rafa Benitez and Real Madrid is keen to balance the books with the sale of the Spaniard, after bringing back Casmiro and adding Mateo Kovacic from Inter Milan last week.

However, the decision lies with Illarramendi, who still has four years remaining on his lucrative six-year contract signed in 2013, but the player is not likely to give his approval until he hears out all available offers.

Real Sociedad have submitted an offer of anywhere between €10-15 million, the highest offer Real Madrid has received, meaning Los Blancos would lose a substantial amount from the €39.1 million (€32.1 plus €7 in taxes) invested in the player.

Aperribay is keen to finalise the negotiations before an English side, who have greater buying power that the San Sebastian-based side, steal the player away from them.

The intention of all parties involved is to finalise the transfer as soon as possible, meaning Illarramendi could be back at Anoeta as early as this weekend

the knicks played themselves by overpaying for mediocre players

a lot of marquee free agents being linked to the  Lakers drove small market players to hand out blank checks to keep their talent.

lately not so much, but agents throw out big name organizations like the lakers and yankees all the time
