You'd be foolish to honestly belive that United even considered a real bid for Neymar...

Pretty sure Adidas is making billions every year and it's not like they're paying the total sum of the contracts in one year

Nike makes more then Adidas, and to me, when Nike is saying that Adidas is paying too much, then I would prob listen to them. Adidas might be doing the right thing, but I feel like they are getting a bit desperate with these contracts.

Nike is letting these clubs go to Adidas because they just got the NBA contract in addition to the NFL rights they acquired a few years ago. They seem to be more preoccupied with the American sports market than holding onto Arsenal, Man U, Juve, etc. Adidas, on the other hand, knows it will never have the clout that Nike has here in the U.S. so when Nike shows relative indifference to extending with some of these clubs, Adidas pounces all over them. Adidas is smart because it is sticking to what it does best, soccer. And when you ask, do people really buy new $100 jerseys every year? The answer is yes they do. If not, these brands would not spend money designing and releasing new kits every year.

Hey Man U, how bout you give us that money for Bale instead?

i found this interesting.  looks like vermalean  is going to learn  distribution from the back really quickly.   look at all the touches.

these are the passes completed in yesterdays match.  its crazy how bilbao basically set up camp on messi and alves's side of the field.

can't wait till neymar rejects the man u bid and gets back to work. he is going to punish teams that try this same tactic.

I think the tabloids or specific writers are out to get United, they have to be, because what's happenng with all these rumors is getting seriously mean.

Why are they doing this to the fans? How are they allowed to write things like "Neymar & United" in the same sentence?

This is just getting super, super MEAN.

Also agents are starting to use us as leverage in contract negotiations as a result

Oh yea, the agents are definitely dipping in the cookie jar as well.

In fact I wouldn't be surprised if Neymar's dumb *** dad looked at everything that's happened this summer with all these other players and decided to be the one source leaking this crap. He would be that dumb.

United are definitely getting played tho and it's getting way to obvious now.

Click bait

That's the bulk of the problem right there.

Being a football journalist is so easy now.

1. Create headline stating United have bid for world class player "x"
2. Attach a random fee (this can be made easier by just finding out what the players outrageous buy-out clause is, and make said bid close to buy-out clause)
3. Click "submit"
4. Watch ad revenue come in

Journalists don't even try anymore, which is why I don't even bother with the bulk of these rumor sources. I'm only looking at the likes of DiMarzio, Ducker, Ladyman and a few others.
