That second goal that we gave up was terrible though.  Rooney looks like straight garbage as No.9.  Three solid looks and converted none of them.

We need a goal scorer bad. At this point, this is a legitimate crisis and we are going to over spend on someone. If I wake up to see that we signed Harry Kane, I will drown a box of kittens

I wont but you get the idea

As much praise as Woodward and LVG get, if Frollaini ball is STILL a part of your offense, it really shows how little progress has been made.

If Real ever had anything like Frollaini ball going on, ESPECIALLY for a stretch of multiple seasons, I along with other fans would be at Florentino's door with torches and pitchforks.

I think Frollaini struggle ball is the defining on the pitch image for the United dark ages.

I swear Rogers got lucky to Manage both Swansea and United. Dude sucked as a manager for Watford and Reading and somehow got a third chance with managing Swansea. :smh:

LVG needs to swallow his enormous pride and stop playing people out of their preferred positions. Blind at CB should only be a stop gap in case of injury and Mata needs to play centrally where he's MUCH more effective. Also,Rooneh isn't a starting no.9 at this stage in his career...

For everyone he's offloaded,we haven't replenished the ranks as needed and are pretty thin on depth at the moment...

Fergie would be disgusted at the thought of longball United but it is what it is

I really do miss those blistering offensives from behind during the final 10 minutes under SAF,you could never count us out. No risk taking whatsoever nowadays. The pressure is only gonna mount on LVG if he stays idle and foolishly decides not to improve the squad before the deadline which would inevitably lead to a struggle top 4 challenge

Van Gaal should've said **** and copped Ibrahimovic and threw Rooney in the hole

I can see Mata being sold next summer :nerd:

exactly. i lose respect for united when they play like that.

they just give up their whole "philosophy" and resort to kickball tactics.

it really does show how far man u have fallen off...if you are going to lose, lose with some dignity.

man u going to frollani does absolutely nothing for the team going forward...even if they did get the points

i kept telling folks rooney isn't getting 20 + goals this year.

Memphis is either struggling in the EPL and/or he's not ready to play 2 games a week. He's need to be rotated with Young more often.

memphis is fine.  the spotlight is just shined on him because there isn't anyone else on the offensive side for man u to look at.

everyone else is completely ineffective.

man u really miss ADM

Wazza's league form/confidence is shot,he's been much more effective in the few minutes when he's been moved back than he has as the main striker.

I wasn't really expecting Memphis to light the league up out of the gates but he needs to work on his consistency. He played a bit timid in that 2nd half,I guess the yellow didn't help but he needs to get more involved especially during those high pressure moments after conceding. An extra attacker would definitely help him also since he's one of our only quality options on attack. Still think it'll take him a few more match weeks to find his CL form in the league.

Memphis is good. He's still developing and adapting to the league. No one is expecting him to be a goal-a-game threat this season

That's not all on Memphis though. The service, finishing and execution overall has been piss poor. We've only scored one legit goal so far this season and that was only today

Garry Monk deserves some credit today for those adjustments he made after conceding, they were much more compact and able to open up a lot of space for chances. He owns us since he took over Swansea
