Reports overnight in Germany say #MUFC have made a £60m bid for Bayern Munich forward Thomas Muller #SSNHQ

Don't see that happening though.
wasnt there a reported bid for 100m rejected by Bayern?

or was it just bullocks ?

That bid was reported as 50m up front + another 50m in additional fees related to performance+appearances etc over the course of the contract which sounds ridiculous . This "fresh bid" sounds like they want to drop ADM $ up front which won't be near enough for Bayern...

What footy podcasts do you guys listen to / recommend?  I follow most the major European league and I'm a Arsenal fan.

Men in Blazers is a popular one here

*So we go from interest in Pedro to Sadio Mane? Wouldn't even be that mad tbh ,he's impressed me the few times I've seen him and he has tons of upside at 23. Seems like he'd be a good fit, should be a hell of a lot cheaper than Muller too but he doesn't look like a starter though...at least not anytime soon.

Mané is very good.

But if I was a United fan I'd be pissed at potentially having Pedro, pulling out in favour of Muller, realising that's a dream and ending up with Mané.

But as I said, very good player. And the Saints continue to be raided

The problem with all of this Muller talk, is that yes, it's a lovely little idea.

But let's be realistic...he isn't just a player at Bayern, he's their Great Hope. The very definition of Bayern. United would have to offer damn near Ronaldo/Messi money to even get Bayern to think about it. Even then, Bayern are not strapped for cash. With the impending decline of Ribery and Robben this season, I can't see them even considering getting rid of one of the greatest players their club will ever see.

So all in all, I think United should have signed Pedro.

Yea trust me Heggsy,I'm still heated

. Just that I wouldn't be as pissed to come away with something at this point

. The Mane bid sounds like a face saving move to me though tbh

. Muller is never happening unless we drop a world record bid most likely.

A part of me thinks Real Madrid just scooped up kovacic so barca wouldn't get him.

He isn't going to get much playing time over there.
Wonder what they are going to do with Benz... That dude is such a problem I think they are making a big mistake letting him go. If it is true he's leaving.

But Benz and Pedro are both going to flourish in the bpl.

They should send him out on loan. That MF seems to be set for at least the next 5 years though.

Real and Benz's agent keep trying to reassure everyone that he's happy at Real and isn't leaving almost weekly

Me neither, they don't really have people "in the know" and mostly post stories/reports from other outlets

So sad that ESPN neglects soccer as much as they do. When the transfer season falls right into the down time in american sports. Basketball is over, football hasn't started and all thats left is mid season baseball....so espn is forced to create stories that NO ONE cares about. Hence the Tom Brady story that no one really cares about. The new RG3 talk (omg he said he was the best qb in the league omggg) NO ONE actually cares about this. Or anything else you are reporting on.

'MANE NOT FOR SALE'

More developments on Manchester United's interest in Sadio Mane and a Southampton official has told us the forward is not for sale.

The official told Sky Sports News HQ: “He is a key part of our team and our planning for the future. He wouldn't be sold.”

SPURS TO RENEW BERAHINO BID

Tottenham are preparing a revised bid worth £22million for West Brom striker Saido Berahino and are confident of signing him before the transfer window closes, according to the London Evening Standard.

Albion chairman Jeremy Peace has claimed the 22-year-old is not for sale, but that has not put off his counterpart Daniel Levy, who appears undeterred after Spurs’ initial £18million bid was publicly rejected on Tuesday.

Berahino, who is currently paid just £15,000-a-week, has just two years left on his contract at The Hawthorns and, according to Standard Sport, talks over a new deal have failed to progress, opening the door to Spurs who are prepared to treble his wages.

PEDRO SET FOR CHELSEA MEDICAL

Barcelona forward Pedro will undergo a medical in London tomorrow ahead of his proposed move to Chelsea, Sky Sports News HQ understands.
