Damn, United fans are so salty about their transfer business that they've taken onto bashing other sports and national American leagues in their entirety.

Guess there isn't much other bashing they can do since their direct rivals are snagging up all their targets

But seriously people really get salty about the name of the World Series, or the Warriors being called World Champs? Bruh you could take every best player not in the NBA, and put them on the same team, and the Warriors would demolish them, let alone any single club team  don't get the salt.

And then saying because the world cares too much about cricket? Bruh show me the Lebrons, Westbrooks, JJ Watt equivalents, etc that are too busy playing these other worldly sports in other countries.

We breed the illest athletes of any country in the world and its not even a question. USA! [emoji]133674693112[/emoji] USA! [emoji]133674693112[/emoji]

Preach :pimp:

Can't help but think how LVG treated VV might have played a part... probably a small part, but still...........

Funny enough,Chelsea were the first team with interest mentioned when news broke that Pedro wanted out iirc. Along with the Gooners before MU and MC came into the picture.

I'm still wondering why him and Lindegaard STILL haven't been sold

Eh I'd say that Basketball is the 2nd most popular "sport" on the planet...

There's literally been a court in every city I've been to even in Africa/Asia just like there are footy pitches
correct...

european countries show a lot of love towards basketball, even women.

same goes for Asian countries too

The last I checked, I think Lindegaard was set for a loan-spell?  West Ham I think it was...?

I hope that's right for his sake. Starting to feel for the dude,he's been in purgatory for the last year and a half

Jeeebus. Nothing in the US would compare to that crowd. Not even the USMNT winning the world cup would draw that kind of a gathering

That's why for me NBA>NFL. Didn't grow up in an NFL town and I refuse to root for anything Seattle even if they are in the PNW. NBA could be as big as soccer in 20ish years. Imagine a Champions League between the US and Spain or something :pimp:

On a very quick google: http://www.top10zen.com/most-popular-sports-1584?page=5

http://www.readingtree.org/top-10-most-popular-sports-in-the-world/

http://www.economist.com/blogs/gametheory/2011/09/ranking-sports’-popularity

But now this question is actually going to make me want to do some reading. It's always a given footy is #1, but I've never asked what's #2. I'll be interested to find a real concrete answer...

Ask any person anywhere on Earth who Michael Jordan is and you'll most likely get an answer almost instantly, ask them who Sachin Tendulkar is and you might need to wait a little longer

 while I get your point, I think Michael Jordan transcends basketball, and is basically a world/pop icon. People who don't follow the sport will know his name. You could find places where no one watches or plays basketball, and they'll know Jordan's name from pop culture.

Btw, something interesting, Multichoice (Africa's largest satellite tv provider) only recently started covering NBA games and broadcasting across the continent.

I find it hilarious that Manchester couldn't sign Pedro after trying to get him for weeks LMAO.

It makes it hilarious that some Manchester United fans seriously believe they're Real Madrid or something and sign any player they want. Haha wow.

Rugby> basketball
