Also I don't think GK is the biggest need. I think those other 2 outfield positions needed to be filled first. I guess Real said screw it on any CDMs whatsoever with the Kovacic signing. Don't know if that's more of a testament to who was available, sticking with Illara, or just scrapping the idea of needing a destroyer in the middle.

Yea with Casilla and Navas there I duoubt you guys would need another GK. Still don't see why Casilla was signed when DDG is on his way next year and is his main rival for that Roja #1 spot...

I thought Illara was gonna be sold? Kept reading about 'Pool being interested. I also read rumors about Rafa wanting to sign Carvalho from Sporting before the Kovacic signing. Vidal would've been such an awesome fit for you guys I feel.

Vidal would have been a good fit, but it would have been against Real's transfer model over the recent years to bring in a big signing at that age. And to be honest, I'm ok with that. I'd rather get a player at a younger age that can immediately contribute and also still have value to sell and possibly even profit off of down the line if necessary.

I'd love to dump Illara for Carvalho. That would be a perfect move. But I don't see that happening. Illara is Spanish and was brought in for big money and management doesn't like to admit mistakes and cut losses. I really hope this is his "make it or break it" season though because dude is an embarrassment to that jersey so far.

Doubt it means anything coming from the British media but they're saying that Muller has told his friends he's interested in joining up with Bastian at OT...one can only dream :lol:. Anyone that Rooneh could work with instead of being the lone striker would be welcome by me.
