Not conceding an away goal was the most important facet of today's game. Urruti could have made the day twice as sweet, but that damn post. The team looked tired today for the most part; only exceptions I really saw were Nagbe and Wallace.

The ref made some horrible errors though. Terrible, terrible decisions.

On to next week; onward Rose City :pimp:

Rough start for the Impact but they answered right after conceding and ended up getting the winner later in the 2nd half :pimp:. A goal next week away should do wonders

Cristiano ain't ever talking to the media again man. They always misquote him smh.
saw in the media today he's linked with a move back to united :rolleyes not sure if its him or what but I'm tired of it. Wouldn't even want him back at this point in his career, especially in the current philosophy.

@DiscoMirror
At Man Utd training. No Schneiderlin, Valencia, Wilson, McNair. Jones & Memphis training separately from squad

That Alex Ferguson interview mastamind89 mastamind89 posted was a nice read. He said that American football players make more money than footballers. Is he speculating? Cause I don't think his numbers are correct.

American football like NFL?

I wouldn't doubt that they do make more than European footballers.

Right, because NFL players definitely make more than any football player

The major of Messi's and Ronaldo's wealth comes from endorsements. Hell, I'm sure neither one of them had a contract where $50 million was GUARANTEED! Sam Bradford out here making more money than them

Wow, we got some snakes in the Chelsea locker room.

Not cool... Mourinho made them champions few months ago. Yeah, Mourinho's tactics are annoying but players didn't do their job..

Eden said he was tired of politics at club. What politics?

I quoted the part from the interview where he talked about the money in the game.

Alex Ferguson on Coaching, FIFA, Chelsea and U.S. Soccer

Alex Ferguson spent 38 years managing soccer teams, most notably at England’s Manchester United, where he won 49 trophies, among them 13 Premier League titles and two Champions League crowns. In an interview last week in New York, he discussed his career, a few of his contemporaries and the tyranny of fans’ expectations. His remarks have been condensed and edited.

Q. When did you start to sense the growing influence of money in the game?

A. The television deals had a lot to do with that. I have no dispute over the top players getting the best salaries, because if they’re the guys that bring 75,000 people into Old Trafford, they deserve it. Tennis players, golfers, American football — they get paid more than the soccer players. The difference is that a lot of maybe average players are getting very well paid in the Premier League.

Q. Was it hard to deal with that second group once the money came in?

A. You say: “Look, let’s be reasonable. You maybe could earn something better away from United, but will you win anything? Do you enjoy being here? Is this the right club for you?” Because apart from the prospect of winning, you’ve also got to look to the training ground, the family spirit. These are important issues, things you have to look forward to going to the workplace every day. Good people working with you. Treated the right way. So I think there’s a lot of value for anyone being at United. So when it comes to the negotiation, obviously with their agent, if he’s stupid, he probably wants to leave. But if he’s sensible and we can come to a reasonable agreement, then we can sign a new contract and he’s enjoying himself.

yea the NFL, I didn't know they made more

Did he mean NFL vs MLS
I'm sure he was talking about the NFL

I haven't watched American football in years. NFL players making money like that?

That everton game was so so entertaining. The midfield link up with Barkely and Lukaku and Kone was beautiful at times

Kone's hat trick activated a clause in his contract that extends it until 2017 :lol:

I find it hilariously ironic how last season LVG's main problem was a garbage defense and now this season it's the opposite. The stats show that we have the best defense in the PL but we can't score goals to save our lives now :lol: :smh:.

Hoping those Mahrez rumors are true as a result :lol: :nerd:

Why would Man U go after Mahrez when they could go for a great white hope in Kane/Vardy

Memphis out of Man Utd game v CSKA Moscow, Jones available, Schneiderlin missed training for "personal reasons"

I wouldn't mind Vardy in his current form...:nerd:. Not gonna happen though :lol:

Damn I just saw pics of him in training today,he didn't look too hurt.

And just dropped by the Dutch national team!

@ManUtd
Van Gaal on Memphis: "He is only 21 & in a phase of his career where he has to adapt to many things. I'm confident he'll come back strong."

Him and RVP. Not too surprised after their dust up a few weeks back. He won't be out of the team for long though :lol:

This is the same Memphis that Man U fans SWORE would tear up the league this year?
