I went to Lisboa for 2 weeks in June and it was 95-100 the whole time. I usually have bad luck with weather every time I visit  night time weather is always amazing though. You can be outside at 4 AM and it'll be as cold as slightly chilly day time weather at worst.

But yeah, living in the Bay Area does change your tolerance for hot weather. It's around 70-75 degrees here 90% of the year, so anything above 80 is hot as hell to us

The Portuguese Solar Gods must have been mad at you or something, 95-100 is like record type of heat for Lisbon, especially in June. When I said between 85-88 degrees for Lisbon, that's what I meant for the highest it gets not on average

You sure you weren't converting the Celsius charts incorrectly and adding more to Fahrenheit?

I know man. During Festas I took my friends to stay in the Alfama district for the weekend and we were DYING every time we had to leave the apartment to walk up all those steep hills. A 5 min walk had us drenched in sweat

Of course, the weather decided to go down to 80 the day I had to leave for home  I'm telling you, I have horrible luck. It rained nonstop in Amsterdam and Bordeaux when I visited this year, and it was sunny as hell every time I headed to the airport to leave

We just got to get this straight man because I'm promoting dudes to start the Eurotrip in Portugal and telling them how great the weather is and your coming in here saying 95-100 in June. That must have been some type of mistake or anomaly or something

95-100 degrees is UNHEARD of in Portugal ya'll, if it gets to be that hot and any of you guys are on your Eurotrip in Portugal - I will pay personally pay for a flight out of there to your next desired destination. That's how confident I am  (Just don't make it Madrid, because in the ridiculous off chance that Lisbon gets to be 100 degrees, Madrid will be at 125 degrees, easy)

Yea it's supposed to be unusual, but here's what the weather was in Lisbon when I took my friends around the end of June, and it was slightly hotter than this in real life in the Alfama district. I left Tuesday morning that week, and like I said, it dropped to 80 right when I was leaving. This is from Accuweather

Coupe, you want to reimburse me for any of my flights?

I have to get to Portugal. In addition to all the things Couple and SFC415 have said, everyone I spoke to who had visited said the people are the friendliest and most hospitable in Europe.

And +1 for Bay Area weather, specifically the immediate East Bay, ruining one's ability to acclimate.

Barcelona in early February is the coldest I've ever been. 40 degrees in the day time. :smh:

Anything out side the 60 - 75 degree range is some next level stuff for me.

:wow: Wow dude, I stand here corrected and ****** owned. My bad

I had to google it after I saw your pic and found this...

Concern on continent as heatwave set to drive temperatures beyond 40C
http://www.theguardian.com/world/2015/jun/30/heatwave-temperature-continent-40-spain-portugal-france

I guess it was the worst heat wave since 2003. Temps were up to 85+ degrees in England and France and 111 degrees in Madrid during the same time too. Wow, that is crazy. I can't reimburse the flight homie, sorry  but I'll buy you a bottle of wine of Portuguese wine one day for global warming messing up your stay.

Besides the fact that you may have had the worst-timing in the history of Portuguese summers, when you booked your flight - for that specific week too  - I can reassure everyone here that is no way the normal average temperature. This was just a huge uncommon exception that SFC had the worst-luck ever with

Damn SFC, that really must have been rough. What kind of hapless fortune are you carrying on your shoulders whenever you vacations, stay away dude!!

What "Normal" life is like, whenever SFC isn't around

Is this what we've become too? such a slow day mid-week of an international break we've resorted to the weather channel over here? Be it I was part of this but still

Yes it's terrible, and I'm working on a deadline until midnight tonight.

This really is pathetic, stop distracting me SFC.

No worries man, I'm cursed  and yea, NorthOaklandFC, Portuguese people are very friendly and down to earth. Go during June; it's Festas season and there's street parties everywhere. Grab a 2 euro caipirinha mixed drink and just roam the streets :pimp: it's gonna be wilder this year with Euro 2016 coming up, might have to make the trip again. I have 0 interest in going to France to watch it

Arsenal send official for Granit Xhaka, deal possible at €30m
Posted by SPORT WITNESS on November 11, 2015 at 19:45 in Sport Witness FootballView Discussions

German magazine SportBild had a big feature this week on possible exits from the Bundesliga. In a several page 'theme', which probably won't have pleased their core readers too much, SportBild explained that the bright lights and big money of the Premier League was proving more tempting by the season.

Next summer could see an exodus of players from the Bundesliga to the Premier League, and the list and links SportBild put forward included some of the very best. It was claimed that Arsenal had already started contact over potential summer deals for Bayer Leverkusen's 25 year old attacker Karim Bellarabi and Schalke's 27 year old defender Benedikt Höwedes.

Another player SportBild reckon is of interest to Arsenal is Borussia Monchengladbach's Granit Xhaka. We're big fans of Xhaka at Sport Witness, he was impressive at Basel, has impressed for the Swiss national team, and is increasingly important for Gladbach.

The 23 year old is very experienced for his age and has a bit of bite in him, not the Lee Cattermole kind of bite, but the type which comes with more technical ability and a real will to win. Xhaka can operate as a defensive midfielder or an attacking midfielder or, as they used to be called, simply a central midfielder.

Xhaka has a buyout clause of €30m, but SportBild say that's only applicable in 2017, although Gladbach may be convinced if the payment terms are good. Arsenal have been sending an official to keep an eye on the player's performances.

 at Ronnie conceding the D'Or trophy to Messi already. I think it's 60/40 Messi favor. But I also feel like dude just wanna promote his movie and move on to Paris already lol

what did ronnie win last yr though? messi won a treble and was the best player on the team.. no way he loses

Like he said, the winner of this award is about trophies and Messi got all of them last year so he deserves it. He also stated it was his best year statistically which is correct but RM just didn't get it done trophy wise or else he would be winning his third straight easily.
