I think the image problem is starting to have more to do with your rivals snagging players up while you guys lay low and just leave money sitting in the bank. Imo this is an important window for United's brand for perspective top class targets, and if the window is an L it can have a lasting effect in EPL power for years. I really think it's that important and United needs to make a bigger show of intent and ambition.

I said I thought it was a blessing in disguise u missed on Pedro. But u guys now need to bring in a marquee attacker.

Like the rest of the clubs in Europe

Yea, I'm pretty sure you can't just send a player somewhere without their consent so, don't really see how it would be "sticking it to him," if he'd ultimately be the one giving the ok and approving  in the end of the day the only one getting it stuck to them is Man U, by Real Madrid and yet again another top class player that wants out. Same way Ronaldo did.

But damn the salt has become next level from u dudes

I just thought it was funny. I actually agree with you regarding us getting the worst out of this entire fiasco. We look petty and I'm hoping that it doesn't have a long term impact on our "image" as a club.

We look petty for standing firm? Don't know about you but I'm glad that we're finally putting up a fight in negotiations and won't be bullied around like in past years. Yes I know we'll most likely lose DDG for free but it's just the principle that counts for me.

Can you blame us for being salty though flyeed? Seriously

I should have been more clear. I agree with us having a firm stance on not selling DDG to RM for cheap. However, this whole we wont play him until the end of the transfer period, conflicting reports between DDG and LVGs camp, etc. - it just seems childish to me. That can tarnish a team's reputation in the TW especially when our targets see that their fellow countrymen arent gelling with us.

Pedro says Cesc Fabregas played a key role in helping him decide to leave Barcelona for Chelsea.

The Blues, bidding to recover from their worst start to a season in 17 years, signed the 28-year-old Spain forward on a four-year deal on Thursday.

He said: "I spoke to Cesc. We are very good friends. I knew I would feel at home here and that was one of the main reasons why I decided to join.”

I meant specifically for Real Madrid

Ronaldo, beckham, chica, ddg, depay

Arsenal had to build the stadium somehow

Barca paid for most of it

I believe those days are over tho

Chicha only went out on loan and Memphis just signed this summer...

The situation I'd call childish would be VV's current predicament. He should've been sold before the season started once LVG decided that he wasn't in his plans anymore. Having his situation lingering on top of the DDG saga isn't a good look I agree but for DDG I kind of see where LVG is coming from. He probably wants to reinforce his belief that no one player is above the team,no matter how much they mean to the team.

I still believe that if DDG really wanted out ASAP,he would've signed that extension which would've put a set price tag on him and made a transaction with real that much easier instead of this cat and mouse game they've played all summer long.

- Third was a loan

Fair enough The VV situation may have influenced my opinion on the whole DDG saga, I can see where you are coming from

From what I'm reading, United are also a bit slow on transfers, because as much as it looks all tied up, Champions League footy isn't guaranteed yet. Don't know how real that issue is though...

Could be just a way to keep the fans from murmuring.

Ridgewell was here first [emoji]128521[/emoji] Can't wait for the Timbers game tonight. Win this one and a playoff spot is all but guaranteed :pimp:

DE BRUYNE TO JOIN ON MONDAY

It seems as though Kevin de Bruyne could play his last game for Wolfsburg this weekend, with Sky Deutschland reporting a deal worth €70m for him to join Manchester City should be announcedon Monday.

He is set to travel to Cologne for Wolfsburg's Bundesliga match tomorrow.

Also I got a Jan Vertonghen jersey..... Thought about getting another Kane shirt with his new number but decided against it...

LvG is in LaLa land

I can't believe the poll this year! Last year it was so much more objective. How is Chelsea is fourth place
