See, I think the people overreacting have a reason. I didn't post in here last night because my rage probably would of got me banned.
People have had enough of this style of football. Everyone at Old Trafford booed Van Gaal out last night, and we are not a club that boos our own, we have always been against that policy. I said a few weeks ago that the tide was starting to turn against LVG and believe me that tide is coming in faster and faster, if we get eliminated from the CL People will officially be calling for his head, justifiably so. We should be battering crap sides like that last night, it isn't good enough.

I get that it isn't good enough and I agree but what good is sacking him gonna do? That's just gonna set us back even further after all the work that's been done to at least get the club back to a respectable standing instead of a laughingstock.

His brand of football has definitely been awful to watch for a good portion of the time but he somehow grinds out the results. He made the mistake of vastly overestimating the abilities of our forwards before the summer window ended though. You get rid of 3 strikers and replace them with just 1, at the time,unproven 19 year old...that was never gonna work once the reality of the season kicked in and the injuries start to take a toll . Imo,if he can get us in a good position near the top part of the table by new years,a few winter transfers might go a long way in solidifying this squad into a genuine title challenger.

I get that the manager needs to be accountable but a lot of these struggles haven't been squarely on his shoulders. Most of the forwards have been pretty inconsistent throughout the season and I don't think he could've predicted the stunningly fast disintegration of Wazza .

I'll wait till we get closer to the end of the season before I start feeling strongly enough to question his job security,right now it has been pretty sure but we're not in the worst position. This CL campaign reminds me a bit of his 2009 Bayern UCL campaign where they had an even worse group stage and needed to win on the last matchday in Turin against Juve to advance. They conceded early but they ended up scoring 4 to win and advance. That squad ended up doing the German league double on their way to the CL Final.

I'm not saying that this current squad is capable of that kind of run but all I'm saying is that I trust that LVG know's what he's doing and is well aware of the added layer of scrutiny that missing out on the knockout rounds would add to an already tense period of his tenure. I guess we'll have to wait and see but I don't think he'll go down easily.

nah i'm from Mississauga (just outside Toronto) so I go to MTL often. I try to avoid the winters though
