Frustrating game... WE expect to walk the goal in, and while this might work vs the bottom-mid table squads, its not working vs the top 7-8...

I like Giroud, but he does not BALL hard enough against the top opposition...

The Defense looked suss with the passing out of the back and i'm still not convinced with chambers as the future CB heir... Gabriel had a solid game but needs to step up if he ever plan on unseating Per...

The talent is there, Don't know why we can't score in some games, just 4 months ago we dropped on 4 on this same pool team (although they have improved defensively)..

We need to improve on the counter and go for the kill... To much tiki taka (as much as i'm a fan of the concept) in the final third and very few shots from distance/angles...

It was good to see Ox's injection of pace, but AW waited too long (imo) to bring him on... Still a lil salty about Ramsey's goal being dissallowed, instant replay or some review type of system needs to be considered in the near future... Both teams scrapped hard and the result was exactly what these teams are... 3rd/4th place type battle, sadly...

Usually I disagree with most folks opinion about the Arsenal on this thread, but the way we are playing RIGHT NOW, everyone is correct.. We're playing like a solid 3rd/4th place team (as usual)...

#GOONERS

always looking for the perfect shot...seems to always be an issue. one pass too many or just trying to be too cute. you could hear fans screaming "SHOOOT" in the broadcast

So frustrating :smh: trying to be too intricate. Just shoot the damn ball.

Chambers was a mess. Gabriel was shaky at first but he bounced back. As mentioned, he had a solid game and I'm looking forward to seeing more of him throughout the season. I have a feeling we will see him play against Newcastle.

It's clear that we need a ST and DM, but we'll have to wait until deadline day to find out.
Would you start Giroud or Theo against Newcastle?

Now you know how we felt about that phantom offsides against Rooneh .

Neville with that ether  :pimp:

Bravo Gary... spot on..

Agreed for the most part on parts about Wenger. I do think Arsenal could stand a better chance at winning the league with Cazorla and Coquelin if they signed a marquee striker like Benzema, primarily cause I expect Arsenal to fall behind in games with the shaky back four. A striker that at least stimulates a dogfight comeback when against the ropes would bring out a better side even with the pair in the midfield.

speaking of zlatan, if you haven't already, check out his biography that came out last year. it's so awesome. so many great stories. let a couple buddies who know nothing about soccer read it, and they loved it and got them interested in trying to watch more games on tv

I love his side of the story of the pep vs zlatan debacle at barca. I wonder how true it is, but either way it is awesome.

Random I had no idea pitch sizes could be customized, I thought teams had to stick to a standard size

It's for that very reason that Highbury was a fortress, couple that with technically gifted players, and it was a nightmare going there.

 only Arsenal knew how to play on that pitch.

Interestingly enough, Emirate pitch is only slightly bigger.

Nah, cuadrado was bought for depth. Mourinho wanted to take it far in the CL and win the league, obviously we know which one didn't happen. However, Cuadrado showed he wasn't ready for the english league with the few chances he was given. The fact that he failed to impress was the nail in the coffin.

If I'm a manager challenging for the title, I can't afford to give playing time to a player that's supposed to be fitted for the league or at least show that they can make **** happen. I understand cuadrado wasn't given enought time and I agree, but you can't give a player a lot of chances, it can cost you points cost you chances. Besides, as soon as cuadrado joined William kicked into overdrive.

Meh, sucks it didn't work out for cuadrado, I'm sure if Chelsea was aiming for the mid table he would have been given more chances to develop but when you got opponents like citeh trailing behind you, ready to over take you position on top of the league last season, you really can't afford to make many mistakes or take chances like you would if you were a mid or low table team.

Being loaned out to Juventus doesn't help cuadrado either. Why send him back to the league he was good in but couldn't translate to the english league, where chelsea need him? hmmm... should have been loaned out to a mid talbe team in the epl like they did with Moses.

He'll be given the Italian Special which is the loan with an option to buy. Juan is 27 already, don't expect to see him back in Blue ever again.

Let my dude flourish again the Series A :pimp:

He is a type of player that needed the ball flowing through him. He's not technically disciplined to have to get the ball and play the right pass in a system. He wasn't a type of player Chelsea needed but he did offer some pace and flair to that team. Some big clubs just need one or two guys to be the man and that's Chelsea with Hazard and Costa

Look at Real Madrid for example. Bale and Benzema is night and day. Benzema fits his role perfectly as he is willing to make the extra pass or play. Bale gets criticized for doing too much instead of the right decision. Can't have too many chiefs and no indians.

Don't think he will be starting at Juve either, but man are they stacking up in the depth chart.
