Liverpool 13-14 was my favorite team to watch in the EPL since 07-08 Man United.

It was just amazing, pure gold from Suarez and Sturridge. If it wasn't for Gerrard slipping and dipping, and then stumblin and fumblin - Liverpool would have had a well deserved title!

Real Madrid were idiots btw choosing Bale over Suarez that summer, I and many others always thought Suarez was lined up play for los glances.

Florentino Perez thought Suarez wasn't pretty enough to play for Real so he picked Bale instead

It kills me when LVG talks about our lack of creativity in attack yet he keeps Ander on the bench 

It's cause he continues to go and on about playing disciplined football utilising a second striker instead of a CAM (hence Januzaj and Memphis were played). That's why Mata is always on the wings instead of the 10 (which is killing United pace wise).

I don't agree with him on the matter, but hey, what do I know.

Furthermore, I feel like I'm re-watching the Berbatov at United/Kagawa at United saga.

Player comes on, plays well, gets benched next games.

Player comes on, scores hatrick or more gets benched the next game.

Really frustrating to see, especially when a player is integral to creativity and scoring goals.

That "disciplined" no risks or thrills type of football has helped defensively but it's really taken a big bite out of the attack. It's not like Ander is anymore careless and reckless with possession than the likes of Memphis/Adnan/Mata etc. He deserves more chances than he's gotten,still don't know what he's done to be in the doghouse when he was one of our better players last season

I'd also like to see LVG give Mata a chance at no.10 and maybe play Young/Adnan on the wing. The only attacking mid with more goals + assists than Mata in the PL since 2011 is David Silva...and most of those have come from him playing in a central position.

If Wayne Rooney can do half (yes, yes just half) of what Suarez did in 2013-14 - United will have a great year. The way Suarez put the team on his back that season from goals, assists, playmaking the as absolutely beautiful. Wayne Rooney dreams about doing that at night.

I'm not trying to nit pick but u don't remember Rooney ever scoring more than 30 goals, you sure? I know Saurez had over 30 that year when he was suspended for those games aswell. And he had a crazy amount of assists.

I didn't know ROONEY said that tho, I'm glad he said that. He should put pressure on himself.

This is a big misconception. Suarez was at Liverpool years prior and during the 2012/13 season he had 23 goals for the epl campaign and probably would've had a bit more if he wasn't suspended, but we never finished as high as we did the next season. It wasn't until Sturridge came around and they were finally able to play together was he able to score as much as he did. It was a joint effort by the two.
