Over the last two games we have lost out starting CB pairing to injury, our number one keeper and an impact player who should have been starting over Jesus the last couple games but Pellers said it was for tactical reasons :rolleyes this is depressing :{ the little hope I had against PSG is all but gone now.

After seeing his post match interview ,I've noticed that Pelle just doesn't care anymore laugh.gif. His responses and demeanor to what's basically a death knell to their title hopes made me feel like he couldn't have less damns to give about the rest of the season since he's on his way out anyway laugh.gif

To be honest i've been confused about whats he has been doing with these guys and the lineups he's picked in the league this season for a while now. Recently i've heard a lot of people blaming the decline in form on the Pep announcement but  we have been in inconsistent form since after the first 5 league games.

Quote:

Manchester City have not been at their best for any period since they began the season with five straight Premier League wins. They had already lost five league games before the Guardiola announcement was made.

City won their first three away games in the Premier League but only two of the next 11 and have not won back-to-back league games in five months. The rot set in long before they started getting ready to put Guardiola's name on the manager's office door.

At least we one the COC and made it further in the CL than we ever have I guess :\

I saw this on twitter last week but forgot to watch, poor guy. I'm sure it's great but probably gets old quickly. Cristiano seems like a good dude though.

What makes you think he's not yet ready for a move to a big club though Coupe? He's become pretty well rounded by now and has already scored over a century in all senior competition and is only the 5th PL player to ever hit 50 league goals before turning 23. Like most young players,he could work on his consistency but he's still gifted with that game breaking ability where he can win you matches on his own.

I think Lukaku is a great player, just not the world class type. His stats are great no denying that, but him going to a top 5 team and being the striker - I don't see that happening. Everton is built around feeding him, Martinez has done a great job with him (not so much Everton tho laugh.gif)

He's good tho, I'm not trying to **** on him. I just think his ambitions are too high up there. I do think he'd fit right in at Arsenal tho, I think they'd benefit from each other greatly, Arsenal would finally get a good striker whose already proven himself in the EPL. But him on United? Nah bro, y'all don't need that (that English tax would make him go for 50 plus million, y'all could use that money in many other places). Plus Mou coming in, they don't like each other. Him on a top 5 team, nah tho.

It's just sad how the Portuguese Primeira Liga finds so much talent but can't keep any of them due to $$$$ frown.gif Benfica and Porto would be two of the serious contenders for the Champions League every year rather than two teams that just pray for easy groups/draws (before they eventually get kicked out by a rich club that most likely has former Benfica/Porto stars that played for those teams a couple years ago laugh.gifmean.gif )

Hey speak for yourself, Porto last won a champions league in 04', that's not too long ago. That was around the last time Wenger won an EPL. laugh.gif

Thats the thing though. We never were fully healthy with our complete team. We had maybe 3 or 4 matches with

Aguero-Silva-Sterling-KDB-Yaya-Fernandinho-Clichy-Kompany-Otamendi-Zabaleta-Hart

You add in 2 new players to the attack, and one new defender in the back to any team and they will need time to gel. They never got the chance to find that chemistry. Injuries, squad rotations and no passion to achieve more was the death of Manchester City in the league this season.

Plenty of bright spots fam. KDB is the truth, Sterling has scored more in his career than ever and he's still young. Iheanacho might be the heir to Aguero. We get Pep to patch our defense and mentality, we'll be back and running in no time

City was a juggernaut 2-3 years ago with a lot of these same players. A lot of those dudes are over the hill or just not good enough. Silva is not the player he used to be, neither is Toure and they were the driving force behind those titles they won. Chelsea went through the same thing (and it seems to be recurring again this season) a few years back when key guys like Cole, Lampard and Drogba reached the end of their usefulness

City knew that. Thats why they signed DeBruyne, Sterling, Otamendi, and Mangala...all younger players to be the present and furure. All of whom have missed significant time due to injury, on top of Aguero, Silva, Nasri, and Delph. It is what it is, but thats a lot of talented bodies missing lots of matches.

yikes. max kruse got sent home from the german national team like a day after getting to camp. something about him not abiding to being part of the team. damn shame, I like that kids game and germany needs a true striker bad. muller can fill that gap at times, but an out and out striker is needed to take over for klose

I'm surprised no one has posted about Buffon's heartfelt open letter after breaking the Serie A record of 929 minutes without coneding a goal. He finally let one in at 973 after failing to stop a PK. This made me tear up tho no lie.

"I was 12 when I turned my back on you, denying my past to guarantee you a safe future.

I went with my heart.

I went with my instinct.

But the day I stopped looking you in the face is also the day that I started to love you.

To protect you.

To be your first and last line of defence.

I promised myself that I would do everything not to see your face again. Or that I would do it as little as possible. It was painful every time I did, turning around and realising I had disappointed you.

Again.

And again.

We have always been opposites yet we are complementary, like the sun and the moon. Forced to live side by side without being able to touch. Team-mates for life, a life in which we are denied all contact.

More than 25 years ago I made my vow: I swore to protect you. Look after you. A shield against all your enemies. I've always thought about your welfare, putting it first even ahead of my own.

I was 12 when I turned my back on my goal. And I will keep doing it as long as my legs, my head and my heart will allow."
