He still came out better no ? :rofl: Plus you're acting like you know the specifics. How do you know Liverpool wasn't gonna cop both ? You a fly on the wall listening in ? The committee copped almost and if not every player he(Rogers) wanted cause he knew he needed to succeed this season or else he was gonna get sacked. So they let him have his way to make sure they weren't the ones standing in his way of success.He could've been gunning for both, but being that Memphis was the bigger name he got all the media coverage in terms of rumors.

As I remember it PSG and Liverpool were fighting it out for Memphis. We came to the table late. It was an easy choice for him when we made our intentions clear. We were also linked to the Brazilian before Liverpool. Glad they got him, not the type of player we should be signing.

I think 'Pool did iirc,they were linked with him first and for a little while. In typical fashion,Rogers denied it all after he went to OT :lol:. LVG also said that PSG's reported interest is what made him act and go after him before it was too late.

I'm glad all of this was before B-Rog got sacked :lol:,Klopp's the type of manager most players would love to play for.

And speaking of having shine jacked from you, Hazard had all his swagger ripped from him by Willian of all people. And now Willian doesnt know what to do with it. I miss the days of Malouda and Robben tearing it up on the wings

He is decent but he doesn't fit the profile of player I'm use to us signing. We usually go for:

World class (RVP adm)
Highly rated young lion (Rooney Jones Shaw)
Proven in the PL (Saha Berbagod Fellatio)
Future World beater (Ronaldo De Gea Martial)

One thing I do agree with LVG on is having a small squad to allow the youth to come through. Firmino would have taken a spot on the bench away from one of the kids.

Firmino>Herrera and any bench midfielders Man U have, youth or not. If he was English his transfer fee would of been 40+ mill. Man U don't go into seasons hoping to develop youth.
