Basically paying to have a happy GK you can get on a free, or sticking with a dude who knows you tried dumping him and he's only there for another year because of a paperwork fail...but then getting the other dude free next summer.

Funny how United fans have been making fun of City for buying all these great players over the recent years, but what United has done since the overrated bum Van Gaal came eclipses anything City has done. I mean, has there ever been a more blatantly shameless and desperate attempt at buying success?

Another one that was made fun of was Moyes, and yeah he didn't get results but what players did he get? How much money has he spent compared to Van Gaal?

Bro manchester united really dropped 80€ mil for a 19 year old thats completely unproven?

just wow

Woodward is such a savvy businessman.

I bet united fans feeling real good about keeping DDG for one more season only to realize you caught another L because he leaves on a free next season and they'll have to drop money on a keeper.

Coupé It Coupé It 4 Mexicans at Porto :nthat:
Who is the coach at Porto? Seems like he likes Mexican players. Except for Reyes but he's still growing.

Funny to think that Reyes was picked to be the one who would have the most impact at Porto. Herrera out here killing it.

Herrera is actually underperforming. He looks tired. Im guessing he needs a break or something because he doesnt look as good as he did last season. He looks the same duing the gold cup.

Angel Di Maria blames Louis van Gaal philosophy for Manchester United exit

Angel Di Maria has claimed he had rows with Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal and suggested that he struggled to comprehend the Dutch tactician's philosophy during his time at Old Trafford.

Di Maria left United to join Paris Saint-Germain just a year after his British record £59.7 million move from Real Madrid, with the Argentine winger struggling to make his mark during his solitary season in the Premier League.

In his first comments on his apparent rift with Van Gaal, Di Maria told ESPN Radio Argentina that he struggled to build a working relationship with the United boss.

Di Maria also confirmed he felt he was played out of position by Van Gaal, with Paris Saint-Germain boss Laurent Blanc keen to assure him that he would be used in his favoured role.

"Van Gaal has his philosophy and one of the things that made me want to leave is that," Di Maria said. "It is difficult to adapt to Van Gaal. I had a couple of rows with him.

"I started well [at United] and after that I got injured. Things didn't go well for me and Van Gaal changed my position. I spoke with [Laurent] Blanc and his thinking was that I'd play in a similar position to where I did at Real Madrid."

Di Maria made a sparkling start to his PSG career on Sunday, as he produced a delightful assist for Ezequiel Lavezzi during his side's impressive 3-0 win against Monaco.

"I didn't imagine a reception like this," Di Maria added. "It was the most beautiful presentation I have ever had. The truth is that I'm happy to come to PSG and to have teammates like Lavezzi and [Javier] Pastore."

Di Maria's comments are unlikely to be well-received by Manchester United supporters, with many expressing their disappointment at the hasty manner of his exit from the Old Trafford club.

De Gea's gonna retire and then suddenly return to the game next year after a "change of heart"

Yeah I'm not sure wtf LVG is doing. Man U does not look scary on paper to these rivals. That group in CL is about to be the death of United.

Wow what a turn of events for United but hey at least you guys are active in the market[emoji]128553[/emoji]

Keep Chicha and go for Laporte and address your strikers in January. Rather win games 1-0 than loss them 3-0.

If it's actually true that United sent the papers at 11:59 PM - it's obvious they did so just to troll (Truth-Serum Level of trolling). In some other universe United thought that trolling Real Madrid would be a good way to get back at them or get back at De Gea.

Now United lose €40 Million Euros, Keylor Navas, and De Gea - all because they just played a terrible joke on themselves or the other logical explination is everyone on the board to the manager is a COMPLETE IDIOT

This guy Lord Woodward, great job - give this guy a statue.

Chill with the snap judgements  ,it isn't over just yet...

@gstobart:
So had it confirmed #MUFC did their bit & registered De Gea transfer on FIFA TMS. Real Madrid failed to register in time with LFP

Fifa is investigating and given the big players involved, I wouldn't be surprised if they made an exception and still got the deal through...

*Also, apparently there's a chance that Real still gets hit with a transfer ban next summer for unrelated issues, that would mean they wouldn't be able to get DDG until 2017...
