Man U putting a bid for Hakan Calhanoglu? Free Kick King, might as well score on set pieces since Rooney can't do it.

Also a good playmaker with pace

,still need a forward man...

A CB wouldn't hurt either, not much time left...

They've literally had over a year to sort this deal for De Gea out, since it became serious and it's not happening because they decided to wait until 23.59 to send paperwork through

I don't need to be hearing about us being cheap when it comes to world class talent...

A lot of people are talking about Martial's fee. Granted at this point, I don't even know what the fee is, since I've seen about 4 different fees. But the reality is, from what I'm reading, it's something that all English clubs are going to have to get used to. I read some article that was along the lines of saying the new TV deal has allowed English clubs to have first choice at upcoming players, but they will essentially get taxed like crazy cause everyone in the world knows their league is paying ridiculously well. I think we're about to see the beginning of another hike in upward spending trends for players coming to the Prem...

Has it's pros, and it's cons though
.
Even so, that was a desperation buy and y'all overpaid(if the prices being reported are true).

I read a interesting comment about the De Gea saga. I don't remember the exact qoute but it was essentially "Even if Madrid are the ones that messes this up whats gonna matter is who De Gea thinks messed this up" - (Credit to a random Reddit user I forgot their username)

I don't deny he was overpaid for. The point is, this will probably become more common for English clubs.

@bbcsport_david Very unlikely #AFC will make any signings today. Explored options but nothing was close & almost certainly no ins or outs now #DeadlineDay

David De Gea is staying at United. Confirmed.
SMH.  Just read this too.  ManU really dropped the ball on this one.  Even though I think Madrid purposely didn't get the paperwork in on time, this could have been avoided by selling him earlier in the summer.

Not our fault Real didn't try to make realistic bids for him earlier, they only have themselves to blame

.  Now it's gonna be interesting to see if they do get a Barca style transfer ban along with Atletico in the near future
