Moses isn't clinical enough, and often wasteful.

A lot of pace, but the end product is often dreadful.

Sounds like a certain Brazilian winger we have on our team....

I swear the only show I watch on ESPN is ESPN FC and it seems like every two Sundays it seems like the hour long show they do is recorded over by something got e fast forwarding looking for the show and it never shows up:{

Interesting fact I've learned today: Soccer is originally a British term, an abbreviation for Association Football. So I don't know why Europeans scoff at us calling it soccer, it's not like we came up with it lol.

Football for American football is still a dumb name though regardless of the existence of another sport named football or not laugh.gif

I mean, I can't imagine it being called anything else now, but at a certain point when the game was evolving and the rules were changing, how didn't everybody get together and say, hey we should change the name of this laugh.gif

"Soccer" is such a stupid word. Sounds so derogatory. Kinda like:

It doesn't help that it sounds virtually identical to the word "sucker" when spoken at a normal pace. Not long ago I was reading this article written by an American on the subject, who was obviously biased towards the name "football" being used to describe the NFL one and "soccer" to describe the FIFA one. And he wrote that as late as the 1970s the word "soccer" and "football" were equally used to describe the sport in London. I literally laughed out loud when I read that BS.

Anyway, if this was a discussion about common sense, it would be too easy to win. But it's not, it's a matter of pride and wanting to simply have it your way and not succumbing to the way of others. Just like the metric system:

Some American saw this, became very upset and made this:

Memphis looks like he went through some stuff as a kid lol.

And about the football vs. soccer it's like this to me...
If I'm in America I'll call it soccer and American football football, if I'm ever in Australia I'll call it soccer and I'll call American football gridiron, if I'm ever in most parts of Europe I'll call it football and American football American football. It's all about where you are to me and if I wanna talk about the sport I'll call it what they call it when I'm there so they understand me. I don't wanna have a debate out the name I just wanna talk about the sport 😂.

Makes sense since he did have a rough upbringing...his tats tell a lot of his story.

I agree with the terminology being dependent on location. The whole American "Football" thing used to confuse the hell out of me when I was a kid since I grew up a footy fan first :lol

Yeah even though I don't know everything about his upbringing i know enough to make me want to see the dude be great.

Although I can't do it openly now because of his current club lol

I hear you,his past is what keeps him grounded and hungry word to his "Dreamchaser" tat. I feel the same way and not just because he's at MU. I would've wanted to see him flourish even if he had chosen to join PSG over the summer.

laugh.gif You can still be a fan of his. I'm still a fan of Raheem,Yaya,Kun and Silva despite their club allegiances laugh.gif.

In America, Football is Football and Soccer is Soccer. That's the way it is and that's the way it's gonna be. Don't know why the Brits are getting their jimmies rustled over a term they coined. laugh.gif

I understand why we call it soccer, don't understand why Aussies, S. Africans, and Irish folk call it Soccer (according to the map). In fact that sort of gives us an excuse for following bad examples, not our fault roll.gif.

But like Fly said, why we call our Football - "Football" has never and never will make sense.
