Oh and I think Messi is the better player, but all this talk of Ronaldo's positioning reminds me of Ray Hudson's nickname for him, "The Dark Invader." And it's really crazy how Ronaldo carries the team and puts it on his back to get all the goals. People complain about his easy goals but he has sick instincts and determination/will combined with the physical ability to get off the mark and accelerate to get there.

My nephew is a huge RM fan because of me and I always **** on Messi in front of him and tell him CR7 is better. Everyone needs a hero

lol fair enough.

Neymar is the heir apparent to Messi and Ronaldo in terms of beat player in the world after they are out of their primes.

^ Thinking on the fly

So Rodgers is about to get the boot soon? Apparently Liverpool management gave him a goal of earning 7 out of 9 possible points in three matches before playing United?

Yunnus Mali with a hatty for Mainz against Hoffenheim! This young dude Muto from Japan been killing their defense. The next Kagawa/Okazaki in the making :pimp:

His second goal to the top left corner was great. Thought nobody was watching this game since it isn't the epl, la liga or a big team so I don't even bother posting.

Best part about this Arsenal Chelsea game tomorrow is that win, lose, or draw, Chelsea will be at the bottom of the table

Hazard and Costa are gonna feast tomorrow. Not setting myself up for disappointment.

Its apparent that we wont change change your opinion regardless of what we say.
100% True but I just really wanted to know what CR7 fans that I don't because I watch both play all the time and the answer is pretty clear to me that Messi is by far the better player he offers way more than what CR7 does.
To be it's cause he is the perfect specimen for football physically. Everything from height to speed etc.
Scores with the left, with the right and with the header.

Sure a lot of the flair has been removed for the sake of pure accuracy, but his ability to consistently be in the right place at the right time for one-touch finishes impresses me a lot regarding positioning.
To add to that. His work ethic. Messi comes off as a natural to me. Like he is effortless in being that amazing at soccer. Ronnie has tons of talent but his hard work has taken him to where he is. His mindset (people complain because he scoffs when his team mates score and he doesn't but his mindset is score by any means necessary). Dudes drive is just something that i wish i had when it came to anything in life.

All this to say i don't really know how hard messi works im sure he does just as much if not more im just not privy to it like i am CR7
That is for sure... his mindset of just wanting to be the best is something I wish I had as a youngin.
I's take Ronaldo to build a team ahead of Messi because of these reasons. Not saying Ronaldo is better than Messi at all tho - but let's say Ronaldo and Messi are having a terrible day and they've been neutralized all game by the opposition - who are you counting on to score a goal off a set piece or a cross to win the game?

Ronaldo is always there and he'll always be a threat - even if he's having a bad game. That's what gives him the edge over Messi. Messi almost becomes useless if he can't touch the ball. I have to say that Messi is the greatest talent I've ever seen and probably will ever see - but building a team for the next 15 years is different.

Hope that makes sense,...
Building a team for the next 15 years I would def want Messi. He will make everyone around him better than what they think they are. To me all CR7 has over Messi is his work ethic and his goal scoring abilities. His free kick game fell off if you ask me. I actually rather have Messi take the set pieces than CR7, I used to think the opposite.

Lol poor nephew haha jk. Messi's quality of play>Ronaldo. Messi makes the game so beautiful to watch and even though he doesn't score as much as CR7 he def scores enough to be up there with him.

I just want to point out that this is the first time I ever had a small debate about Messi/CR7 where people are actually making sense. Everytime I bring this convo up with a CR7 fanboy they just say the dumbest **** sometimes talking about Messi is garbage he doesn't do anything blah blah blah... so respect to you all for sure.

Overall I see Messi as someone who can create more chances in a game for the team to win... he can take on 5 guys and make them look like they never played football in their life. Dribbling is on another level and his passing game is just unreal. On top of all this he can score a ton of goals as well (btw Quality of his goals just wow.) Point is to me Messi>CR7 he is all around the better player and has literally everything you want in a footballer in one person. Salute to you all though for a respectable discussion. Never thought I would have a normal discussion on this. Salute ya.

How yall gunna say messi is better than ronaldo or vice versa? Both are neck to neck in goals all time one passes one then the other reacts

I would rate them the same

It really is awesome how they push each other to higher levels to match and pass one another. Similar to how you sometimes see in tennis players at the top.

I watched some of the match, was also watching the Ipswich vs Birmingham City match.
Mali and Muto were putting in work, it was a good game to watch.
As for Ipswich, I'm so happy to that Niles was loaned out there. He's been a major part of the team since the first game of the season. Just hope he can keep it up

Arsenal have to win...

I'm a Manchester United fan. Either way...

Either way...

A win would be good for Arsenal though... I'd rather you beat them, than lose

I have Arsenal 2-1 tomorrow

Idk man, CR7 stan since forever..but that goal Messi pulled off in the Copa Del Rey finals last year finally made me see the light. I'm still left wondering how he pulled that off..

But I'll only admit that on a here. I have talked way to much **** to ever admit Messi > CR7 in real life  drunken debates about this topic never end well

CR7 makes around 1 free kick per year. Let's not make him out to be some type of set piece expert  I like both of them if that matters. I just hated how Messi became a fat @$# and stopped trying until last year, and I hate how Ronaldo takes all these damn free kicks when he knows he's complete @$#@ at them. Ronaldo free kick pose->camera close up on his face->watch the ball go into the stands or into the ankles of the defenders
