not all to the taxman. She took the present value of the annuity (the payout) which is != to the future value of the annuity - which is what I believe the advertised lotto payouts are represented by.
 
She gets the money back if he shows up to court. You pay 10% to a bail bondsman and they keep that 10% no matter what. She actually saving money here, unless he skips trial and goes on the run of course. Instead of putting up 9 mil and getting it back, she would put up 900k to a bail bonds man and it would be gone. And I think they are setting those bails pretty high on purpose cause they know she got money.

And the taX thing. She only got 88 million cause she took the lump sum. If she would have taken payments over 20 years she would have gotten the full amount and only paid tax on the amount she received each year. She choose to take a lesser amount and get it all right now and pay taxes on it all at once.
 
Many of poeple who win lotteries end up broke and sometimes homeless. Dont really have an opinion on what she spends her money one but hopefully it doesn't happen to her and her fam
 


And if I'm correct, she's not getting the money back from the first bail out because he violated the conditions of his release.
 
Let me put a lil bug out there for the unaffiliated...this dude got caught with someone's H.... Don't think jus cus he got locked he don't gotta pay!....you get knock'd off inside just like outside loosin someone stuff... She might been savin her dude on the low low...

"Hot Sauce" is in hot water again. At least he has a super-rich fiancée.

The man engaged to a $188 million jackpot winner in North Carolina needed to be bailed out of jail for the third time in less than a year on Monday.

Lamarr (Hot Sauce) McDow's latest offense was possession of a firearm by a felon, the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office told WWAY.

McDow was arrested on heroin charges last November, and again in July for violating curfew terms of the his release, the station reported.

"Hot Sauce" was held on $3 million bond and $6 million bond following the first two arrests, but that's chump change for fiancée Marie Holmes, who elected to pocket a lump sum of $88 million in Powerball winnings early this year.

After the most recent indictment, McDow turned himself into authorities. He was released soon after — this time on just $10,000 bail, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
