I took advantage of that best buy deal last week
I got a 40inch NEW SAMSUNG SMART TV
and 500gb xb1 for $500
Dude went through a bunch of things to get me said deal
Since it was as sold out throughout the state
That was going over and beyond
The people at Walmart were just doing what's expected which is price match

The best buy around my way asks to see the price on your phone. Then they ask you to add to cart.
So I know for sure this will not work at Bestbuy. Might try walmart though.

The first walmart everything was going fine, until they had to call the CSM over to approve the price differential. This is common practice at most retail stores, when a cashier tries to adjust a price for an item and its over a certain dollar amount (usually $60-$70 difference) it alerts a supervisor that has to ok it. They lady came over and denied it only because all they had to sell were PS4 bundle packs and not just the console as the KMart ad states (even though its the same price).
I didnt make a scene or get upset, I work in retail so I know exactly how to talk to them. The cashier offered to call nearby locations to see if they had any consoles and I said sure. We called like 10 different Walmarts (I live in Texas so theres one on every block damn near) We found one 16 miles away I told them to put it on hold and let them know I would be price matching so they were aware in advance. I showed up to the location, went to electronics, told them I was here to pick up my item, cashier price matched, again it alerted the CSM and she came over and approved and that was that. Crazy part is this store gave me the bundle. I dont think any stores sell PS4 consolses just by themselves anymore.
All in all this is a very successful deal, like I stated before I work in retail and I see things like this allllll the time, and as long as youre just polite and not a jerk you can easily take advantage of this.
