OFFICIAL 2015-2016 College Football Season Thread

Hopefully Sark can get better and land on his feet. Real scummy move by Haden here. What does he gain by doing it now as opposed to the end of the season?

I agree w/ that. It's inexcusable when a few reporters can spend 2 weeks in Washington and come back with all that. Lack of due diligence throughout the process.

So much for the Southern Cal "Family" like GUNNA is saying. Pathetic.

I hope Sark finds a path to sobriety. Alcoholism affects my family personally, I've seen its damage up close and it's crushing.

Yeah it's really sad. The fan base is split on it too. A lot of people wanted him gone after salute to Troy and I like others wanted him supported. He doesn't have to coach this year but they can stand by him while he's struggling.

This is more than just an attempt at a clean break. This is them washing their hands of him.

Bingo.

Coaching fraternity is tight so I can see him being an assistant somewhere after he cleans himself up. Folks know what USC is doing is foul/dangerous. They could've held off on the firing until the end of the season. Dude gotta start his treatment off knowing he's canned. Probably at his lowest of lows right now

I don't see Haden being gone any time soon.

Took the job as a favor to SC, he would be making 10x more a year w/o it.

I don't see why you let him take the leave of absence only to get rid of him the same day. I understand wanting him gone, but doing it now probably won't help his recovery.

Not to mention he's also on the Playoff Selection Committee, I would imagine that USC would like to keep one of their own in that sphere of influence.

I think Haden steps down sooner rather than later. Have no idea exactly when that would be, though. There's also the timing of getting a new coach.

We'll see.

The alums at USC LOVE Haden. Only way I see him leaving is him having enough of this. He doesn't need to deal with this bs at all

Nah. Alums don't love him at all. Not as an AD. As a player, sure, but they think he sucks as an AD.

Especially when it comes to hiring.

DALLAS - An upset former Dallas Skyline HS and Texas A&M football player randomly attacked and fatally stabbed a jogger along the White Rock Creek trail early Monday.

Police said Thomas Johnson, 21, used a large, edged weapon to kill the unidentified male jogger on Monday morning.

The incident happened about 8 a.m. Monday where the trail runs under the Walnut Hill Bridge, near the Fair Oaks Crossing intersection.

Police said Monday afternoon that Johnson admitted to the crime and even called police from a nearby location after the stabbing. Johnson had recently been kicked out of his home, police said.

“He was angry about his situation,” said DPD Deputy Chief Rob Sherwin. “It’s very unusual. It’s quite shocking.”

Thomas’ criminal history includes evading arrest, burglary and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.

Thomas was a highly regarded wide receiver who graduated from Dallas' Skyline High School and briefly attended Texas A&M. Johnson went missing after A&M's stunning 2012 win over Alabama, triggering a search. When Johnson was finally found, it was announced the then-freshman was leaving A&M.

Police said there was no identification found on the jogger who was described as a white male, age 25-30. The victim was taken to Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital but died.

Anyone with information about the potential ID of the jogger is asked to contact Dallas police.
Jesus. This is the dude that disappeared after the Alabama game a few years ago (2012) and told people the week before the game that we were going to win and he was gonna disappear into the sunset. Claiming he was a prophet or some ****.

Nah, LA radio and big alums here right now still want him in... Idk why either?

murdering a random jogger... **** trips me out

If SC wants to go the NFL route, I think Chuck Pagano or Gus Bradley could have success as college HC's, if either of those two gets fired.

Hiring a spread-to-run guy (Herman, Mullen, Fuentes) probably wouldn't be the greatest idea, considering who their QB is probably going to be next season.

He tested positive for ligandrol, a SARM.

was going to say what flu meds make you test positive for something.
Didn't know Deshaun Foster was a coach/on the staff @ UCLA. That's pretty cool.
yeah he is a grad assistant
I don't really see the humor in this situation
I don't think most are laughing at shark himself and his problem, its about USC getting themselves into another clown show and looking like fools once again. and them also been sorry as **** yet another year.

Has anyone else heard that rumor that more UF football players may face suspensions?? There may be some PED cover up there and the flu like symptoms before the Ole miss game was because of a drug test.
