OFFICIAL 2015-2016 College Football Season Thread

OK game week. Can we beat ND? What are your upset picks this week?

I've been doing pretty pretty good this year (last I checked, first in the pick-em) so this week I'm going with:

WVU over Baylor

Bama over A&M

Michigan over Michigan State

USC over ND

Arizona State over Utah

and for the hell of it, Utah State over Boise.
2 aint bad. Coulda won you some money on that Utah State pick.

So is anyone ready to admit that Ole Miss can't run the ball or are you all still on that "it was because of bama's defense" nonsense?

Surprised Hugh Freeze hasn't been getting more flack for playing Robert Nkemdiche on offense. Their lack of pass rush hurt them more than anything against Memphis.

Idk why we keep giving the ball to Jordan Wilkins. Besides him we've got some good backs, it's the play calling they need to tweak

I thought about that when i heard about the concussion but it seems like nobody really cares.

#Michigan RB commit Matt Falcon details the option given to him by Jim Harbaugh here: http://www.scout.com/college/michigan/story/1600996-falcon-unsure-about-michigan-future …

Matt Falcon was poised for a big senior season, ready to prove to the world he was one of the best backs, not only in the state, but in the country.

Then, during a routine block, the Southfield senior's leg got rolled up on. Just like that, his season was over.

What he did not realize at the time, is that, not only would the injury end his senior season, but it would also affect his recruitment. Falcon tore his ACL and injured the same knee that ended his sophomore season. Wanting to make sure the surgery was done right, he went to Michigan, the school he was committed to since July, for the procedure.

Despite a successful surgery, recent conversations with the Wolverines have still left him with doubts about his football future.

"I want to play football and I can still play at a high level," he said, "but at this time, I'm divided because Michigan is only giving me one option. Coach Harbaugh told my mother quote 'if Matthew comes to Michigan, he will not be able to play football.' But they would pay for my college education for academics.

"I would have to sign a waiver saying I can't play even though top surgeons told me, my family and Coach Harbaugh I will be able to get back on the field and play at a high level."

 Transfer.

Dummy shoulda struck while the iron is hot, he'll never see that 1st rd/let alone top 5 guaranteed money again.

Doubt he was going to see that this year anyway. That's why he stayed, because he thought he could win the starting spot and propel himself into a top 10 pick. He bet on himself and lost, it happens.

He was in the Jameis/Mariota conversation after that 3 game run. I don't know why but he was, never understand why these dudes pass up dough to go back to school, you can always do that later. Get paid now. There was no way his stock could have been higher than it was off that run.

I don't think he would of gone that high, but I thought he would of gone no later than the third round. only way for him to propel back into that range would be for JT to get hurt. There's already work ethic and how serious he takes studying questions out there.

** Brief hiatus… As we informed you in Friday’s House, Torrance Gibson was dealing with some … uhhh … issues last week.
It went as far as the freshman briefly quitting the team and telling people close to him he was going to transfer.

However, as often happens, Gibson thought better of it, apologized and is now back on the team. But he did serve a one-game suspension for the Penn State

game for his actions. (Which didn’t affect his playing time at all. We’ve got jokes.)

Lol more BS rumors

Cardale going pro after this year, wouldn't make sense to transfer unless he went to a lower division

As previously stated, Cardale should of bounced after he won the 'ship. His stock will never be higher than it was this past draft. Someone will still take a chance on him but I've never been high on "Urban QBs" due to that system they run and how it translates to the league.

he probably would have gone 1st round with that size and arm..

pro day would be scripted and show off the things he has going for him

I think Cardale got mixed draft grades and decided an extra year would ensure he'd go first round.

Thing is he didn't even look like a cant lose sure prospect when they won those four games. He showed a strong in accurate arm, mostly good sometimes questionable decision making, and the ability to avoid being sacked due to his size.

Best case scenario he's Big Ben worst case he's Jamarcus. I think Urban emphasized that and convinced him he'd be given first crack at the starting position.
