OFFICIAL 2015-2016 College Football Season Thread

Where is Dana the OC at next year if he gets canned? A&M?
I'd take him in a ******* heartbeat. Move Spavital to QB/RB coach and cut ties with the dead weight that is Chuck McKinney. McKinney can't even get kids from the high school he used to coach (Galena Park North Shore) to look heavily at TAMU (though it doesn't help that North Shore's staff is now filled with LSU guys). What's the point of a true RB coach who can't recruit in an offense that doesn't even want to run the ball that much?

The only real transfer threats are the RBs that came in this year from Texas because of homesickness and how they're being used but Ronald Jones is loved so much in Troy that I doubt he's going anywhere.
Tell RJ3 that College Station has several Whataburgers. Really wish we would have recruited him before it was too late. I'll send you free Whataburger for life if you send us back RJ3.

"Statement from 5 star RB Walker:
"I'm committed to Ohio State," Walker wrote. "I will take my remaining visits to ALABAMA, Mississippi, ASU and my last visit will be back to OHIO STATE.

"Coach Murray will be with me and help me sort through any questions that may come up, but these visits are to confirm I'm making the right choice for my future. All of this talk about another RB committing and me not wanting any competition is false. I love competition and I have it every day on my own team with Nas Hooker, who is the second-best RB in NJ. I'm confident in myself as a player and person. Every school has RBs and will sign one or more every year. It's the way it is and what will only push me to be better.

"I'm done answering questions pertaining to my recruitment and commitment. I'm committed and visiting, which is mine and my families chose. MY focus is on my team and academics."

:pimp:

Still early though so we will see

I missed it, but apparently a few days ago Keyshawn was on the radio saying USC had already reached out to and secured an agreement with their sought after coach and that he was one of a handful of people who know about it outside the administration, but they have to wait for season's end.

Only way it would make sense is if, as people rumored back in September, boosters had pressured USC into beginning a coach search and silently placed Sark on probation.

UM did it with Harbaugh so it's not out of the realm of possibility and would mean USC has made a home run hire, but more likely Keyshawn's talking out of his ***.

Side note, USC's biggest booster came out in full support of Haden and recently donated $25 mil so it doesn't sound like Pat is going anywhere until he's ready.

I didn't say that a few weeks back? Boosters are locked in on him.

Do you think it's an SC NFL guy like Fisher or JDR?  To get enough people on board to reach out in a semi-official manner, it would have to be an SC guy right?

Boosters have definitely reached out to Carroll, JDR, and Fisher (ugh) but no idea if any is interested at all. I seriously doubt it.

Only one of the three I can see is Fisher because he and JDR were interested last time.

If I was a betting man... I'd say SC hasn't hired anyone yet. But if they have, the front runners right now are Herman, Whittingham, and Jon Harbaugh. And only because before Sark got fired there were rumors of Harbaugh being burned out of NFL coaching and wanting time off or a change of pace to college or an analyst gig.

I hope it isn't Fisher...

Not saying SC should hire him, but has there been any push for Ed O?

If John is burned out from NFL, he's going to throw recruiting on top of all of the other requirements that a HC already does in the NFL?

Only on message boards among the old fan base because fans are idiots. Ed Orgeron isn't a good head coach yet. Even as interim two years ago he was pretty blah. If people thought Sark and Kiffin made no half time adjustments, lol...

Where's @after h0urs to make sense of all of this??

Good luck with fisher. As a Titans fan I can say get ready for mediocrity

And stay away from Herman lol
Why?  Ya'll worried about Meyer's "heart problems" creeping up again?

No push for Ed O except for a few fans who have been pushing for him since Sark got hired lol.

Personally, I don't see any NFL HCs leaving voluntarily to come down. College guys I hear a lot are Whittingham, Herman, and Fuente.

I'm impressed with Fuente, and I'm even more impressed with Herman doing what he did in a year so far. Whittingham (if he would actually come) seems like a safer hire bc we already see how his teams are in the pac. Reactions after the game against Utah this Saturday will be very interesting
