June basically checked out mentally at SMU when he was named coach at Arizona State then for whatever reason wasn't.
Dude wasn't a great recruiter but built a pretty good staff.
Hawaii still has a lot of the shortcomings that plagued the program during his first run.
Still, I wouldn't be surprised if he is Hawaii's next head coach.

He could mold it into John Jenkins type R&S with more of a running game, but his version is still enough of an oddity that it could have success once again with the right personnel.

this is ultimately what Hawaii needs. most of the top prospects are lineman who end up at pack 12 schools. we need someone who has a history of putting these big dudes in the league, hopefully we can start keeping some of these top guys home.

Isaac hasn't worked out so far. He had a couple bad fumbles (as opposed to good fumbles) against Maryland and he's been pretty much nonexistent since then. I heard on the radio last night that he and the coaches butted heads during spring or something.

This is a random question, but what the hell happened the University of Colorado football program? They were pretty good in the early 90's going to the Fiesta Bowl a couple times. Won the Big 12 north a couple times. Since about 2006 when they hired Hawkins they have been a dumpster fire. I feel like they should be better than what they are. Good campus in a decent location. If schools can get kids to live in Waco, Boise, or Starkville, surely they can get kids to live in Boulder for 4 years?

Bad coaches, school intentionally decreasing support to take attention away from the team following the rape incidents and violations. The right coach would be able to reignite the team. They play hard and have a lot of 3 stars and some Pac12 cast off 4 stars. Shay Fields is solid.
Truth be told Herman would prob flourish there.
