Wow, so Verizon have officially took off contracts

Interesting ...

Meh, I've been buying my phones outright and been off contract for the past 4 years.

Verizon got some good *** 4G towers though

And who the **** still uses contracts

Yeah Verizon late. I'm on my last few months of a contract with them. I love them but with T Mobils coverage getting significantly better, I can't justify paying what I pay now.

Hello T-Mo :pimp:

just checked my verizon statement, still on the nationwide talk and text plan with unlimited data :smokin

All y'all basically under contract anyway since your phones aren't paid off. Doesn't really matter.

Nope. Not if you know what you're doing. Every "premium" smartphone has value. Use that trade in and grabbing $400 Top of the Line android devices>>>>

All I want to know is, does this mean current customers on contract with Verizon are no longer on contract? Because if so, that makes this transition to T Mobile that much easier

t-mobile perfect for people that never get out of the city and dont take roadtrips

Lol at cats saying who still uses contracts... smart people thats who haha thats why theyre stopping it haha. Ive saved thousandsssss of dollars the past 10 year getting subsidized pricing. Never had any intentions of switching so i jus re up n get new phones for the low. Ive probably spent about a grand on phones in 10 years and i always have the best phones out and upgrade every 9 months or so

In the past year and a half i lost my unlimited data and subsidized pricing :x

Might make this Note 4 last forever. Wish they woulda gave people the jeads up or i still worked for them. Woulda grabbed a Note 5 before this foolishness

SMH they are really going this far to get people out of unlimited data plans, crazy. AT&T has been trying to get us off for so long it's ridiculous and now I think they finally got us.

This. I remember when I got unlimited everything back in 05 the sales person kinda laughed because "nobody uses that much data"...... Well..... Look at me now!

Every time I try to get a new phone some sales guy tells me I have to change my contract. I tell him F off and "some how" they are able to override it :smh: :x

You ain't getting me

The good thing is, people can get new phones for the low outside of Verizon, if they choose too. Bad thing is, some people are going to pay more for their bill because of the monthly payment plan for the phone on top of the monthly service. Basically, if you plan on switching a phone every 2 years when you're done with the payments, you'll be paying the extra for the rest of your life if you're still under the service provider.

I called Verizon and apparently if you are an existing customer you are still on contract. When that contract ends, you are eligible for discounted phones and a new phone with a new two year contract so long as you reup with the same plan. If you attempt to downgrade your plan, they will require you to use one of their new plans.
