So Apparently Some People Still Don't Know We Exist

I know there are still primitive tribes across the world but I assumed they all knew of the world.

Apparently not.

I remember there being a staged photo similar to the one below but I guess it A+ foreshadowing
The exact meaning of "uncontacted" tribe is a matter of debate, but experts agree that such communities have extremely limited contact with the outside world and that they survive in nearly complete isolation from the global industrial economy. Whatever contact may occur often takes the form of violent clashes—a dialogue of flying bullets in one direction and flying arrows in the other.
At least three such tribes live in isolation in the Upper Envira River region where the overflight took place. Officials from FUNAI told National Geographic that the flight was illegal, and an inquiry is under way to determine what crimes may have been committed by those responsible.

I'm interested to know how far they've come intellectually. Like could you sit them down and teach them things they've even thought of? Messed up to do but if you stole one of their children at birth would it just grow up "normal"?

makes ya wonder...maybe there are some folk living in Antartica that we don't know about and vice versa?

This is so cool b/c of how "modern" we are. Like there's really people out here that know nothing of a cellphone and just live off the land just chillin.

were their ancestors of a "great civilization" or were these people never part of one?

who is living life "correctly"...them or us? or neither?

i thought the Sentinalese people too, but there are documented encounters with them so they more or less know that the outside world exists...

!

REPPED!

I've never heard of them.

This **** is hella fascinating to me.

Crazy that a group of people's entire world is just an island

Like we question what's beyond our solar system while they question what's beyond the ocean

they might not even know what ice is if they live in a tropical climate

They also might have the cure for cancer growing in their back yard and look at it like a common cold.

I'm sure there's a lot that we can learn from them. Just interesting to think about someone who thinks the entire world is within a five mile radius.

Must be what it feels like to be from New York

Yes, and vice versa.

Hidden Colors covers this. Spots in Asia, Malaysia, where "blacks" live up in the mountains. Away from it all. Good thread though

Their mate options are limited. Would suck even more if their communities are small. Might have other tribes nearby where they can look for better yambs.

Not crazy at all. Man I am sure some of us know some dudes that entire world is simply their own neighborhood. Folks in all cities just never venture outside of that. I know it isn't on the level of what YOU said but it is to a degree the same thing. But those people don't have much choice.

I wonder if they will be sent to hell since they "rejected" God as well. What do yall think?
