Just got my pair from last weeks Nike EU restock.

I've heard a few people mention putting Vachetta conditioner on these, I've never looked in to leather conditioning before, is this something people would recommend doing to these?

Don't put ANY leather conditioner on these unless you want to ruin the whole process of developing a leather patina. There is a reason why it's left untreated.

You don't like the dubrae?

Not really. I had the leather laces in for a while so when I switched it up to these I took them off, wasnt sure if they'd discolor the leather as well which might show If i switched back to the leather laces.

The "patina process" requires the leather accumulating oil, moisture, and UV light over time. There are several conditioners made for untreated vachetta leather. If you do not want your leather to darken, do NOT condition. If you are worried about an uneven darkening, I wouldn't condition either. I wanted a darker leather, so I did condition with a vachetta-specific conditioner.

Might be at a difference of opinion here then. I believe that the whole point of Vachetta leather is to get that unique, honey colored patina from over time rather than conditioner. But hey, more power to you if you prefer to condition it. Just my preference I guess

I definitely understand where you're coming from, but I just preferred a darker look. I am looking forward to seeing how your leather looks over time. It should look great

Got em!

I copped from kickzstore also. Didn't read through the thread till recently and realized that a couple of you guys got your pairs from them too. Made me less worried since I had never heard of the website I just found them on google.  Mine also came with the sandwich bag in case anyone was wondering

My pair didn't come with that Willy wonka golden ticket thingy tho

Love my pair but compare to my other 1's these the only ones I had to tie my lace up, mainly due to the leather tongue.
