I thought the whole idea of this tournament was to assemble a team and then see who's squad would come out on top in a do-or-die tournament. Why wouldnt yall be drafting players for peak?

It's too broad without a specific year. How can you judge Paul Pierce off his longevity but then compare it to T-Mac's ridiculous 2 years or so? It's gotta be one or the other in judging and IMO it should definitely be peak. Since the idea would be to have them play in one single tournament, so you choose one season's version of your players and then have them duke it out on the hardwood.

Just my 2 cents.
 
I really hope I don't regret skipping this guy, hopefully he'll be there next round.

Even though a specific way of picking players was not addressed before the draft, I picked my team based off peak performance. One of the main reasons why I'm staying away from a lot of newer guys that have yet to peak. I guess it just depends on how you want your team to look at the end of the day.

I guess you can argue that taking guys like Wiggins right now is no different than taking a Roy, Hill or Penny. No one knows how these guys would've panned out if healthy just like no one knows how Wiggins will pan out. The consensus seems to be that people believe they would be all-time greats, so the same can be said for Wiggins I assume.

Yeah choosing 8 different Kobe seasons kinda kills the point :rofl:

And as far as guys like Roy, Hill, and Penny go compared to Wiggins... Roy, Hill, and Penny were all top 10 NBA players at some point in their careers and the best/2nd best player on perennial playoff teams. Wiggins is nowhere near that yet.

Its not like anyone is drafting Greg Oden based off his potential. That would be a different story. :lol:

Cant believe Tiny was still available.  Thought about drafting him in the 3rd round.  Hall of Famer and top 50 player picked in round 4?  I'll take it.

Tiny's peak was ridiculous.
