ok, buddy.

I'm serious though Antawn Jamison is probably was the 3rd best player on a bunch of medicore Washington squads. I could care less about Melo, he was picked about seven rounds too early.

Don't care where you rank him...but he averaged no less than 19.6 PPG in each of his 6 seasons in DC. Fit my team perfectly because he proved he can be a 20ppg scorer without being ball dominant. But yea...7 rounds too early according to you.

11 DWill
06 Bean
88 Worthy
14 Boogie
06 Hibachi off the bench

Offense definitely is not an issue

I like the squad a lot honestly, Dwill was a great pick because you had way too many high usage guys in the starting lineup.

Talent is always a + but I'm making a team that's going to do work and legitimately have a realistic chance to win every game they step on the floor.

PG: Wall
SG: Vince
SF: Crown
PF: Liambeer
C: Walton

My Defense is A1, post and perimeter, we're LOCKING UP! Only player that may be considered suspect is Vince and he's not a bad defender. The other 4 are elite at their position, with Bron being the anchor.

Offensively my 5 can hang with anyone who steps on the floor. Three are offensive savages, two of which can get theirs from anywhere on the court. I have a PG who WANTS to pass and run, and a 4 who can stretch the defense and pass to allow post work.

Not to mention my squads trolling ability is 2nd to none between John, Bron, & Bill

My five is very well rounded :pimp:

That's a good 5, Cake.

Team is unselfish as hell.

@JJs07  I respect your opinion but there really wasnt a lot of homerism in what I said. I could have easily went with homerism and mentioned where I felt Melo should really go (
laugh.gif
), but it reached a certain point where it just didnt make logical sense to me as a basketball fan, which in turn got me agitated as a Melo/Knicks fan.

Melo is only an inch or so smaller than Jamison and has shown the ability to be an excellent stretch 4. He is superior to Jamison in pretty much every single aspect of the game and Jamison was never in Melo's class as a player. I don't think that part is worth arguing because you even admitted as such.

I get that FIBA is pretty irrelevant for Melo looking at stats an all that, HOWEVER I brought it up and think that it holds relevance in the sense that Olympic Melo is an example that Melo can not only fit, but STRIVE, as a complimentary scorer/stretch 4 when playing alongside the most elite talent. I think in that sense, Melo has proven himself to be a lot more than a ball dominating volume scorer when he is surrounded by superior talent and doesnt need to dominate the ball offensively to be effective.

On the other hand, Jamison has only proven to be a solid stretch 4/ defensive liability on a lower-mid tier playoff team in the weak Eastern Conference, and his teams never sniffed the playoffs when he was the go-to guy when he was younger. He was always the classic solid numbers, ****** team, borderline all-star, kind of player. You really think Jamison is that stretch 4 you are looking for surrounded by HOF talent? Or would you prefer Melo, who has proven to be an elite stretch 4 among HOFers?

In that regard, I think Melo would have been a better forward to pair with Scottie and the rest of your guys. And unlike Jamison, Melo was able to take his squad to the WCF as the go-to guy (a couple plays away from upsetting the eventual champion Lakers in '09) while Jamison was never able to lead his team to the playoffs in a similar position. IMO, Melo has shown he is better than Jamison, even in a complimentary role.

I was hoping Cake would go FU mode and shift LeBron to starting PF with Wall and Carter. But alas...

how is lebron going to turn laimbeer into a stretch 4?

looks like a team build around the midrange jumpshot

bill could shoot the 3. made like 15 3's in 2 championship runs for detroit. he was probably one of the first stretch 5's actually

made 156 3's on 454 attempts in a 4 year stretch (34%) as well. Pretty damn good for a center. In today's era, I'm sure he would've been even more lethal as a stretch.
