Nelly been done, been washed, had a run, and failed at trying to remain relevant, let him be in the Pimp Juice era.  Rap woulda been just fine with or without Nelly.  And for the dudes saying KRS1 came out singing whack songs...how exactly does someone with an organic movement and NO previous albums come out whack?  KRS-One can drop a rap song in 3 countries right now and chart...you wouldn't even know if Nelly had a whole new project out.  It's gonna be alright, I promise.

Dudes are going to say Chris Brown is better than Stevie Wonder next. When's the last time Stevie had a hit. But he can't dance though son.
 
When Stevie tried to dance on bet [emoji]128514[/emoji][emoji]128514[/emoji]. But nah krs is one of those overrated dudes from back in the day. People feel like because of the era he came up in they gotta act like he top something but in reality I read a lot of top 10s on nt.... Nelly nor krs was on em. U never hear dudes in the game say they look up to krs or few up listening to him. U hear every body from that era but him, son is overrated period.

You didn't come up in that era and everything you have said about KRS in this thread is dumber than Hell. Unless you witness an artist in the time span they are in their prime, you will truly never grasp what they meant. The KRS slander in here is embarrassing especially because it's from people who weren't even born during his prime. Everyone in here who has refuted the slander has admitted that he is well past his glory days and should have hung it up a long time ago. To discredit the Teacher just exposes you as someone who doesn't know anything about Hip Hop culture.

His one "classic" album didn't age well at all so miss me with him being top 10 anything. As far as sales, he did his thing, but he's an afterthought in the grand scheme of rap.

Wether anyone thinks KRS or Nelly is top 10 is all preference. But in the grand scheme of things, KRS is a lot closer than Nelly. For those saying nt is the only place they've heard this claim, a quick google search of the top 10/50/100 anything Hip Hop related, except for sales obviously, will refute that.

For the 3rd time I ask, what category is Nelly a top 10 in?
 
Nelly was not no damn drake before drake appeared. Dude made hot, pop music, but his lyrics had no substance. Aubrey is a bit lyrical and has clever punchlines and wordplay. Nelly is my dude, but if anything, he was fetty wap before fetty wap.
 
He def was one of the pioneers of that drake lane. It just evolved.
