And it's like his work ethic improved as the quality of his music diminished so he put out like 10 wack albums in 10 years

Pretty much. KRS One hit the scene in 1987. KRS One and Nelly had their beef in 2002. That's two different world's right there :lol:. Also, did KRS One actually lose on wax though?? They both dissed each other pretty good. Nelly's just hit harder cause in 2002, Nelly was one of the most popular rappers out there, with songs all over the radio. KRS One was all but dead, so even if his disses were soul crushing to Nelly, it wasn't gonna be felt that way to the average rap fan. To me, it was similar to the Cassidy/Meek Mill beef, except Cassidy full out assaulted Meek in his disses. Meek survived cause he went at him pretty well, was making hits, and Cassidy was about 6 years removed from the limelight. No body really cared.
 
Sounds like the drake n meek beef to me. On wax they both put out subpar disses but Drake is just popular just like Nelly was in 02. Had social media been out back then u would've seen all type of krs one memes. All type of gonzo photo shops.

You KRS1's granddaughter or are you over 45?  All these extremes in your posts.  Nelly came out and did crazy numbers...if he had flopped you would't be calling him a pop artist.  KRS1 wishes he could have ever gone 'pop' at any point in his career.  KRS1 barely enjoyed success in his own lane, but Nelly has #1s in 3 genres?  Your own mother probably knows all the words to over 4 Nelly songs.  Dudes can't listen to some Nelly and still 'grasp what KRS means to the culture?'

The fact that Nelly even went at KRS1 was mad cool to me. He's a legend and a much better rapper. People were calling Nelly soft and pop but he didn't care. I don't think anyone really won that battle and it wasn't real battle. Don't care what anyone says, Nelly has bars.

KRS one is a bonfide legend & is why rap is as successful as it is today. Don't be silly. KRS One is one of the pioneers of rap.

Nelly is too 10 successful rapper ever. Nelly had lyrics and flow on Country Grammar. He went away from that as his catalogue expanded. Both contributed a great deal to rap.

Nelly will never be mentioned on anyone top 25,20,15,10,5 nor 3 rappers of all time. Just no.

KRS One would easily make everyone else list.

KRS One > Nelly
 
The question is who really has big nose Kris in their top 10? Son maybe cracks my 25.

Greater than what? :lol: Dude did a lot for the game but I haven't voluntarily put on a KRS or BDP song on in at least 5 years. There's been better runs and music in hip-hop like Ghost and Scarface and neither fell the **** off like Kris did
 
Being better than Nelly isnt all that of an accomplishment. Especially when you're considered to be a "pioneer" The fact that hes not being compared to other greats is an L in itself
