Los Angeles: Bloods and Crips (Which Gang Is The Most Influential?)

Not from LA or even the US, so I'm not sure, but in 2015, is it even safe to wear red or blue in LA ? lol
Yes. The scene is totally different now. It does depend on WHERE you are and how you LOOK wearing your clothes.

In certain neighborhoods out here there is a possibility of you being checked wearing certain hats.

This

It's not like I was about to get banged on for wearing a red polo with boat shoes to brunch in Venice

This I believe. I was watching Colors the other day and I remember thinking how bad it is to be the minority group in prison. The mistreatment has to be terrible.
It's not bad I went up for a year or so. Everyone just sticks to their own race. Don't do anything stupid. Won't be nothing. If your crew gets down....u better jump in

BH = Bounty Hunters from the Nickerson Gardens

Watch Jay Rock's video "Blood Walk" and ask if someone from NT would go up there looking for a fade LOL.

I remember Angela Yee mentioned she went to a party with Jay Rock in New York.... She claimed Jay Rock looked nervous and paranoid all night cause there was word that some New York Crips were in the building. Nothing went down that might but homie kept looking over his shoulder.

All that stress for what? Colors?

She said crips, not new york crips. It was a club in Cali; LA I believe.

which countries have better immigration policies?

what makes their policy better?
even mexico itself has better policies.thats just one country. other countries dont allow what the u.s. does. u.s. needs to do something bout it. i really hope its more then just build a  wall.

harsher punishments for those coming from guatemala etc etc. -

under mexican law. illegal immigration is a felony and punishable by up two 2 years in federal prison. illegal immigrants who are detained and attempt to reenter face up to 10 years in prison.
how well is that immigration policy working for them?

especially when the immigrants are just trying to get to the USA anyways...

any stats to backup your claims?

Some of y'all just don't grasp the seriousness of what that gang life is all about. You keep joking n downplaying it, but the **** is no joke. Talking bout my favorite gang is this, or why they rollin n not stagnant, or some tv show biker gang is realer, what the **** is that? I do appreciate some of the LA NTers that are shedding knowledge tho, but the rest of y'all talking ****, just know the **** is deep n it ain't nothing to kid about.

I've learned a long time ago that everything is a joke to most NTers. So for people who know nothing of Los Angeles...it's no point in getting bent out of shape at their ignorance.

It depends on where you are for colors...where I grew up you will still get checked to this day. My neighbors grand daughter and her boyfriend were on the way home from church and stopped at a gas station. The gas station wasn't far at all from us. Her boyfriend had a red striped polo on and got checked by a blood who didn't recognize him. Him and the girl said they didn't bang and the blood still shot and killed them. This was in the spring.

You just have to be mindful of where you are and who you're with

All of this. You can tell which ones only know about gang life from the stuff they see on TV and the ones who actually grew up around/in it by some of the comments in here. I was never in a gang, but growing up a lot of my friends were. Most were from Skyline Piru and O'farrell Park Blood gangs. Even though I wasn't from there, I would get into a lot of **** with dudes from around my neighborhood which was predominately crips ( I grew up around the same neighborhood as Jayo Felony). Gang life was not for me but even I knew it was more than just about colors.

Got jumped by bloods twice... in LA and in NYC....

Always popping **** when im dolo... both jumpings I came out unscathed...

Im not a crip presently but Im still affliated... gangs is corny

They don't know any better.

This was a vicious cycle of losing generation of loved ones grandfathers, fathers uncles brothers etc

Its really sad that you have black men destroying each other over nothing, and meanwhile there is still no love for us anywhere else in this world .

We can't even rely on one another.

Even worst than the police and general types of people who hate and wanna prey on us, yo gotta worry about a another black male pressing you about

where you from and why your life doesn't matter to him.

I'm absolutely disgusted at New York and Atlanta for adapting this destructive lifestlye...it should have stayed and ended in California.

Less than 55 years ago we were still being hung with no justice whatsoever afterwards.

55 years later we are just continuing to do on our own what the noose holder's wanted to for all of us.

What sucks is that it too has affected me, I don't feel any love or compassion for my own kind

and I'm quick to end another black mans life over some ******** because it seems like the best way to protect myself and survive.

Got fam that's banging. It's not a game at all and all that fake *** blood **** is weak when you have mfers really out here living a life of fast money x paranoia and getting shot at and doing the shooting. Etc.

I can see why ppl glorify it just chilling with them but there's far more cons IMO. I'm good. Let me get my money legally and live my life.

They've been through so much it's not and its not easy to leave that lifestyle on various levels. From the felonies to the lack of employment history, etc. doubt they even have bank accounts.

But when I tell you I've seen ****** make more money in 30 min than I have in two pay checks...

But it's not worth the paranoia, always having to be armed, really having to pull a trigger to get a point across or to avoid being robbed or as a response to something...

Like ppl aren't just flash dancing and posing with guns. It's real

man that Vin Scully avy is crispy dawg

Felt like I posted in a thread like this before. Shouts to my fellow LA NTers tho. But yeah man, if you're not from here, don't speak on that gang stuff like you know. Half of y'all will get the piss beat out of y'all with the mentality y'all have thinking that dudes running around looking like Chris Brown and Young Thug.

Grew up off Crenshaw and Florence in the 60s. Worked directly across the street from Imperial Gardens. It's a lot more tame than before but it's still real out here.

Me and my boy got checked in Salinas a few years back

Saw a cholo for the first time and stared at the dude like he had a booger coming out of his nose. Dude started flashing signs w/ the quickness. Glad I was in a car
