If it wasn't for Linkin Park, would Jay-Z be as big as he is today?

What the hell are you talking about Jay was huge in the suburbs way before this

Where's your proof?

Petey Pablo had a bigger influence on white America than Jay-Z

I know you are a Nas fan, I'm sure he would be disappointed in you making wildly absurd statements like this.
That's why Petey Pablo is still relevant right...?!?

WHAT? You've got to be trolling

You ever heard of Big Pimping? Give it to me? H to the Izzo? Dirt of Your Shoulders? HARD KNOCK LIFE?

White people love that ****. ******* petty pablo? white people don't know who he is and all those songs are clearly before the linkin park area.

Jay had an MTV unplugged, with a released album in 2001, way before the linkin park collab. Had the damn Fade to Black movie before linkin park.

All fax, wash ya face baby pa

I cant stand jayz as much a die hard nas fan but you sound ridiculous

This be the same type of people talkin bout " kanye made taylor swift "

Check the stats before you make a thread man

@anti

 with all due respect mtv hires their crowds to turn up in the front of their award shows

All I have to say about any of this is...

Damn even I gotta say this is some hard Ol Man J**** slander. Thought I was in the music forum with the wild flagrant title.

Reminds me of the thread saying Jay wouldn't be **** without Beyonce which generated a lot of arguments

Yes, Jay is known for some times using up and comers to remain relevant and keep his name out there (Kanye West) but the collab with Linkin Park was not one of them. Every song he let them use was already a dope rap hit coming off BP, BP2, TBA, and his earlier albums. At this time with the white boys in the burbs, Jay was probably only 2nd to Em and yeah this collab got his name out there more with ppl that'd be less inclined to listen to rap but LP did not make it so he was as big as he is today.

That collab was probably the next logical step in Jay's career at the time.

But I did get a good laugh out of this fly  I see you rustling Jay-Z stan's jimmies.
