The NBA Draft Thread

Zach Collins gonna be a dud in the NBA.

Gonzaga played 7 teams ranked in the Final AP Top 25 poll in 2016-17.

Arizona, Florida, Iowa State, St Mary's three times, UNC

His averages in those games?

7.1 points, 4.1 rebounds, 0.3 assists, 0.4 steals, 1.1 blocks, 1.6 turnovers

I really don't see what the hype is about.

SUCH A HAWWWT TAKE

The NBA drafts mainly on potential, and like many have stated above, Zach Collins has loads of it.

Sources: Michigan State's Miles Bridges cancelled agent meetings, leaning heavily toward returning for sophomore year. Lottery pick talent.

Man what!?!????

He's a top 8 pick

Miles Bridges come on man...

all they do if you come back is pick your game apart, gotta strike while the iron is hot.

Don't wanna end up like Ivan Rabb who would have been likely 10 top last year, but came back and now is looking in the early 20s range

Bridges smfh it's a damn shame. If it's his decision cool but I pray that it wasn't anyone else in his circle advising him

Opens up a lottery spot now... next draft looking more and more intriguing

From what I understand re: Bridges (which admittedly isn't a lot) is that if he comes back its moreso his decision than anything else. Believe that most in his circle support whatever his decision is but lean towards encouraching him to declare.

He should definitely enter the draft, but at least if he returns, he'll be playing for one of the best coaches in the country that will feature him correctly. That team will be scary too. His draft stock probably won't change much. Don't really see any of these incoming freshman wings being any better than him.

I just hope he doesn't get hurt.

No surprise here. Justin Jackson entering the draft and signing with an agent.

That actually makes a lot of sense especially with the caveat that it was hard for him to make counterarguments for fultz and fox. If you're 7 foot and play like you're 5'11 what good are you? I say Lauri, monk and Smith have the biggest bust potential or at least most likely to struggle hard out the gate

Not like he didn't come off the bench. But keep reading them stats instead of watching

It's a pretty interesting article. I do think that Fultz and Fox are going to wind up being the 2 best players in this draft though, and have thought this for a little while now.

Yea I think when 'scouting' you need to pay real close attention to what a player can't do, almost as much if not more than what they excel at. Then from there you try to determine how significant their weaknesses are. Like with ball him not pulling up going right is damn near insignificant to me but not getting passed his man lowers his stock. A lot of guys in this class weaknesses are much more impactful than their strengths and makes them easy to gameplan against

Fox not being able to shoot the ball somewhat decently is a weakness that is clear as day. However, between his absolutely elite athleticism and the fact that he truly gives a **** and always plays hard, I just can't see how he doesn't become a good player in this league. He will be a star if he can even get an average jumper.
