This is tough because Rudy is an elite athlete and much of his game is predicated on that athleticism. I would say that his impact on an offense could be pretty similar to Rudy.Jayson Tatum = less athletic Rudy Gay?
One thing I do like about Tatum though is that he showed crazy improvement as the season went on.
Son thinks athleticism is dunking.
Nope...Tatum has counter moves. Back then you take away Rudy initial move and it was a brick or turnover. Tatum is creative as hell.Jayson Tatum = less athletic Rudy Gay?
Watch this video. Are you telling me that he all of the sudden just developed this athleticism out of nowhere?View media item 2406531
This guy was a better athlete right here than Tatum is right now? That comment is laughable.
NT and it's extremesYes. Saying Gordon Hayward is athletic means he's as athletic as John Wall.
Brilliance.

"Yet, I do think Hayward is a clear notch above Tatum as an athlete, and it even showed up in his college numbers. In Hayward’s sophomore season he shot a stellar 59.2% from two, which suggests he could finish athletically and stretch his usage in a way Tatum’s 50.4% does not. Hayward was also the better rebounder on both ends of the floor (7.6% offensive rebound rate vs. 4.8%, 23.4% defensive rebound rate vs. 19.7%), and got to the free throw line a fair amount more (.536 career free throw rate vs. Tatum’s .381). Finishing inside, rebounding, and drawing fouls are all indicators of athleticism, and match what my eye test says about Tatum vs. Hayward."
I still think the Tobias comparison holds up. And yes, I did watch him in college. Blake = Gordon is pretty funny though.Well..that settles it. Also, whomever said Tatum = Harris clearly did not see Harris in college. It's almost as bad as saying Aaron Gordon = Blake. Look past the skin colour and body type.
I don't think I've seen this much debate about top 10 players in a draft. This year, literally everybody not named Fultz and Jackson have mixed reviews. I don't even know anymore...

Honestly after watching that yes Gordon and Tatum are in the same class. Everything he did athletically Tatum could do.Watch this video. Are you telling me that he all of the sudden just developed this athleticism out of nowhere?View media item 2406531

Only positive is that it doesn't change their lotto odds but still such a Knicks result.
