The NBA Draft Thread

I'm really surprised Grayson is staying. I guess he figures he midas whale give it one last run for a title and become a Duke legend knowing that he will have an uphill battle to forge an NBA career. Damn shame too, because the kid has heart. Would be an asset on any team.

Fultz over ball should be a thought for nba t

gets one more year and will graduate from duke with a degree, he'll drop in the draft. But he will be in the league for awhile

He's graduating this season and will be a graduate student next year. Will have more time to spend on basketball as well.

He was a fringe first rounder this season, he isn't dropping in a weaker draft next season

yeah it's a no brainer for him. I would do the same

Folks are that confident in Grayson being a sure fire asset? Hmm

I can't knock his decision (especially if he comes from money), I believe he's a fringe first round pick both this and next year. I don't necessarily see next year as being weaker either, regarding being selected in the first round

Yeah at this point, teams are definitely turned off by his petulance. He'll be a second rounder next year, unless he turns the corner and wins NPOY

Why not? He will be a senior with pretty obvious limitations. Should be late first at best

Seemed like his range was 29-34 in most mocks I had seen.

The kid will have a better season with no Kennard and with hopefully no negative attention. Not saying he's gonna make a major jump but with a weaker class it's hard to see his stock dropping barring a serious injury

Currently praying to the NBA lotto gods for that #1 pick. Unless clown *** Phil wants to trade KP for a top 3 pick and some other random stuff :nerd:

Lets say the Knicks trade KP to Celtics for the #1 pick...

#1 and #7 who should they target is very intriguing as fas as fit going forward.

Then they trade Melo to the Clippers for a pick and get yourself a big late.

There are pretty good options to clean the slate.

I honestly don't think the Celtics would trade the #1 pick for KP if they got it. They are zeroed in on Fultz. If the pick were to fall a spot or two though, I definitely think they would be wiling to move it for him.

...and they would be idiots.

No way they need ANOTHER guard, no good bigs in this draft, KP would be the equivalent of all their bigs in one. :x :smh:

Always take the best available player regardless of position. Stevens will make it work.
Celtics are many pieces away from being real contenders.

I was going to say. Zeke is the heart and soul of this Celtics squad, without him being 100%, they can't even beat the Bulls.

Whoever they take, they should start consolidating their team

Way too many cooks in the kitchen to develop it effectively. Also a lot of the guys are redundant

I'll be watching Jayson Tatum play in person tomorrow night. Will give NT my update on if he looks more athletic than college Gordon Hayward.

Celtics are building for the future. Why would they not take the best player in the draft that projects to be a star?

Just remember, he has to look WAY more athletic than Hayward because he wasn't anywhere close to the athlete Tatum is.
