The NBA Draft Thread

I agree, I think the C's should bring him back. It's better than using that money on a bunch of role players to put around because they won't attract any FA's anytime soon without a SURE star (IT) yet.

But yo, I have a lot of confidence in Fultz being a MVP someday so on the other hand I say **** it and let Fultz flourish.

C's have the opportunity to groom a lotto pick and get a big name FA on a potential top 2 seed in the East, gotta do it and see where it takes you

The only free agent Boston has a chance to get realistically is Hayward n that's 50/50 at best ...it's rare that star players sign with the Celtics in free agency no matter how good they are or how much money they got , that's just how it is ..if their plan is to let Thomas walk cuz they think they can sign somebody better than they really don't know what their doing and might as well keep him

We know how it's gon play out... they gon draft Fultz, take a run at the top free agents n once they say no re sign IT or overpay somebody just to have a signing ...it's clockwork

You could def win a championship with starting IT or any other great scorer that doesn't really play defense or do anything else. They just can't be the best player on your team. Melo is a perfect example.

John Collins looking really athletic and hitting 3s at a good clip in workouts.

Such a guard heavy draft that one of these bigs gotta pan out to something.
Think it depends on what you consider to be "something."

For instance, I'd be pretty surprised if Zach Collins didn't become a starting caliber Center at some point. High motor, runs the court, blocks shots, has good footwork in the post, etc. John Collins has a really nice offensive game and is a good rebounder, but I'm not sure if he can really defend. He's definitely more nimble than other offense-only guys like Okafor/Kanter/Monroe though, so the upside is certainly there. He should at least be a good role player for someone.

How do we feel about Justin Patton?
Seems pretty similar to Zach Collins. High energy. Good athlete. Needs to bulk up a bit. Can definitely be Capela-like rim runner. If they can become decent perimeter shooters, their upsides should be pretty high.

Good to see Brandon Ingram become more aggressive as the year went on. Kid was looking like a Kyle Anderson early on.

I'm really anxious to see how BI performs next season.

Was the ending of last season the start of something good? Or was he just doing that because the games didn't matter and they were playing him 40 min a night

Mix of both , he played with more confidence and seemed like he was learning stuff ...but at the same time that whole lakers squad was riot looting by the end of the season, gotta take performances and stats with a grain of salt

I still think Ingram gon be at least solid tho , think he gon ball out

It's not like he just started improving in April tho like Mudiay in his rookie year. His arc started going up in January
