The NBA Draft Thread

Sixers are kind of backed into a corner. Teams know they HAVE to deal one of Okafor/Noel so they're not going to get equal value in return.

This, plus a lot of teams around the league don't need Okafor for what how they want to play and have capable centers already.

I'd like a deal involving Avery Bradley and RJ Hunter if we deal either Okafor or Noel to Boston.

Yea but Philly is not in position to be picky. See how colangelo straight up said teams were offering him trash. Even if the Sixers didn't have 70 centers they still wouldn't have much leverage because oak is not in demand like that. I really don't see the offers getting any better. I got items I been watching on eBay for over a year with dudes wanting outrageous prices for some kicks. They can ask for what they want, doesn't mean they're gonna get it

I have to re-evaluate how I evaluate SGs that are are good shooters, but have lesser physical tools and have no defensive pedigree like Stauskas and Hunter.

The dangers of falling into the pace and space hype, I suppose.

All y'all wanna throw Jahlil under the bus when the young man puts up 20 and almost 10 by the end of the first half of every game and then takes his foot off the gas. He just wants to play with talent to force him to go hard for 48 mins

Stauskas wouldn't be bad if he could actually still shoot. At 6'6, athletic and having packed on some more muscle he has the size to be able to guard his position...the problem is the main thing we want out of him he can't seem to do at the level he's supposed to.

We need a guy to hit mostly open 3 pointers dished out by Simmons....i think RJ is a better pure shooter to be able to do that for us.

It's unfortunate because I like both Okafor and Noel a lot ..But I know it's impossible for both to coexist on this team. You can't play them together and I highly doubt either would be willing to take a bench role so early in their young careers.

I'm really disappointed that Oak didn't play in those scrimmages against the senior USA team..I felt showcasing him there would of really raised his stock. Looking at the footage he would of been easily one of the best offensive players there.

Buddy can fall into this trap if he's not careful.

No team needs him honestly.

I wouldn't say no team needs him.

Washington, PHX, Hornets are some that come to mind...heck, even Orlando can use an upgrade.

His stock is low because he has not been limited by the plethora of cornerstone big men with the Sixers and he will be limited even more this year. I can see him flourish and improve any of the above teams mentioned.

This pace & space era is why his stock is low. The model is to put 4 shooters on the floor with a rim protector. Okafor doesn't do either. You can only argue that he improves those teams because he's capable of scoring more than their current starting bigs. And that doesn't necessarily make him an upgrade for those teams.

He's much better suited as a 6th man.

Yup.

He can definitely have value but he has to come off the bench and play with a defensive 4.

Like what I saw from Zhou Qi last night in the USA/China game. As long as his age is correct and he's actually 20, I think that he can play in the league at some point. He seems to have a pretty nice feel for the game, but he's an absolute stick figure out there at the moment. If he's older than 20, I will be much less optimistic that he can put on some weight. He was getting tossed around down low.

Yea he definitely looks like a player but there is a big difference between 20 and 24.

DJ and Boogie was tossing dude around like a ***** at a reggae party.

Liked The zhou qi pick I've seen him kill my country and I thought he could be a rotation player in the league he fared well analytically as well

Feel the same, though I feel like he needs 30-40 pounds put on him  I still don't know his real age either. He's been 20, 22, 24, 25, and back to 20.
