The NBA Draft Thread

A sizeable difference in body type, and being a one legged vs two legged leapers, but Malik Monk = Jason Richardson?

Lakers win, Kings lose, and Philly has the potential to trade Jah for a first rounder. If we can have as many as three 2017 lottery picks :x

Hinkie will be proud.

Not going to post the write ups, but here's the lottery:

1. Celtics - Fultz
2. Lakers - Ball
3. Suns - Jackson
4. 76ers - Monk
5. Magic - Smith Jr.
6. Pelicans - Issac
7. Kings - Tatum
8. T'Wolves - Markkanen
9. Mavs - Ntilikina
10. Heat - Giles
11. Knicks - Fox
12. Nuggets - Miles
13. Bucks - Patton
14. Pistons - Ferguson

I really think Lakers need a Junkyard Dog

Someone who is going to mix it up and defend

If they have the #2 choice, if I assess and believe Jackson can play the 2 or project and try to put Ingram at the 2, I'm leaning Jackson

I also think LA needs a player who can stir the drink. Right now they have solid young pieces but they need someone who's going to make everything go and shift into the next gear

I don't know if it's Jackson but as talented and versatile as Ball is I fear that he may be repetitive for them. IDK, I'm just splitting hairs here perhaps

I don't see Ball as a good pick for the Lakers, he's not as versatile as Fultz would be and is only going to be effective as the primary ballhandler.

If I'm Lakers at number 2 I'm taking Jackson no hesitation.

I feel like they need someone different, someone who will add another/different dimension

Ball kind of offers them more of the same

And we can even debate BPA, Jackson may have the edge anyway

Monk's gotta be top 10 even if its #10, just not enough non guard prospects worth anything

Right now I would say

1. Fultz.

2. Ball
3. Dennis Smith
4. Josh Jackson

5. Lauri Markenen
6. Johnathan Issac
7. Dareon Fox.
8. Tatum and Monk.

Exact way I have it also.

If I'm the Lakers, Josh Jackson is #1 on my draft board. Fox falling to the Knicks is a damn pipe dream :smh:

No way Giles goes before Miles and Fox. I can also see Tatum falling between 8 and 10.

As for the Lakers, they either draft Jackson or trade the pick for a star if it falls #2. That may even be a good opportunity to get rid of Deng or Moz's contract. It's also hard to imagine Smith falling to #5. But it all depends on who lands where in the lottery.

The standings change every week, its nuts.

I don't want to get warned or have this thread locked. OKB and myself got warned last year.

Who was the dude that kept asking OKB to post articles every day before last year's draft?
