Still nobody can answer the question of how do they protect our freedom? All I heard was they deter crimes, that's not protecting my freedom.
Detering crimes directly results in there being less of a chance that you will be a victim of crime and can enjoy your freedom of movememt, expression, and right to property.
When cops abuse their power they shoild be dealt with in a harsh manner. But come on. It would be the wild wild west meets mad max without a police force. Stop the nonsense. If there was no police some other type of group like a gang or militia woukd just fill the power vacuum

Steps need to be taken before we can get rid of cops because society is in a perpetual state of requiring "law enforcement" because nobody is focused on the root causal factors of the crimes that are typically committed.

The only thing the guy in the video did to get beaten and threatened with death was to ask for a warrant.
How many of these interactions between the police and minorities end up with the suspect getting shot because "he is reaching for a gun"? If it weren't for the video of the NC cop shooting a fleeing man in the back and planting a taser next to his body, we would have been served another story of a "belligerent suspect who overpowered a helpless officer." So I ask you, how do you want me to trust the police when I see things like this done to people who look like me? How do you want me to feel any sort of empathy for people who have proven that given the opportunity, they wouldn't have any empathy toward me?
On the subject of accountability, I do not know of an engineer who will cover another one's mistakes, especially if they end up being fatal, and the engineer who commits such errors is very likely to lose his ability to work in his field. The same can be said for doctors, lawyers, etc... Yet, "good citizens" are supposed to stand alongside the bad cops behind their blue wall. Cops found guilty of violating the laws they're supposed to uphold are merely fired instead of being prosecuted under the very laws that should apply to ALL OF US, and most of them end up working in other law enforcement positions. Again I ask you, why don't you talk about that?
The part of your comment in bold is indicative of someone who would be very at ease in a dictatorship because that's exactly how the police force in authoritarian regimes operate and how they expect the citizenry to behave.

police should get they ish together and be police instead of an organized gang who are above the law which is what they currently are. for breaking the law they should be held to a higher accountability then your average citizens but thats not how it works.
the former chief of police in la got in trouble for beating his wife, kept his job but wasnt allowed to carry a gun.
yet yall want to praise police ,who break the law constantly but clearly it doesnt matter. f that noise. no sympathy for dead cops from me. you think they have sympathy for the average citizen that dies. thats some nonsense caring bout someone who dont give a f bout you. They easily the biggest and most deadliest gang in america.

im most definitely saying that. once we realize that when we get our **** together collectively as a society, once that happens the role of "law enforcement" becomes obsolete. knowledge of real human rights, freedom, and natural law need to be instilled from birth. authority vested in man will forever be a moral fallacy. no one man or group of men have the authority to set arbitrary dictates for another. even though that is the case currently that doesnt make it true or right in the scope of truth and morality. what we currently have is free range slavery. society is broken by design to need an external authority as a form of control. but because probably less than 5% of the population are actually aware of the non violent and self defense principals of natural law nobody knows right from wrong. its not going to happen in our lifetimes but if we stop allowing a small group to dictate the masses based on what they believe is best we can get the ball rolling to reverse this mess we're in. whats best for some may not be for others. youre free to do as you please so long as you arent harming other sentient beings. how hard is that? stop thinking the government or police have your best interest in mind. they want 2 things, to use you as an obedient slave to continue to support the system or they want you dead. thats it.

a good start would be to implement a program where more extensive mental evaluation is done to be a police officer as well as more extensive background checks. also peace officers would be obligated to abide by these rules strictly, protect and serve if a situation requires it or when called upon. anything outside of that and theyre fair game you have the right to defend yourself with lethal force if necessary without being prosecuted. everybodys stuck lving in fear and people are too lazy to take real responsibility for their lives and their actions so you give up those responsibilities to an entity with coercive and malicious intent. as a society we are mental infants and the government is our daddy.
