You clearly haven't given Young Thug a proper listen. I'm not gonna argue that some of his tracks require rapgenius to fully understand what he's saying.
However that's hardly on all of his tracks. I understand him well most of the time and English is my 3rd language.
Remove his antics from the equation here and focus solely on the music. He's no lyrical genius but that's not his lane. He does include plenty of clever/funny lines.
From a technical standpoint I don't think you can hate on this man. He flows effortlessly over all sorts of beats and has an incredible variety of melodies and flows.

Dude is absolute trash at everything he does other than having London & Metro Boomin as producers. They're the ones who deserve the credit for people willingly able to suffer through his music.

That's exactly why absolutely no Rick Ross album is mentioned or brought up in the recent thread here in the music section...Top 5 southern albums.......and rightly so. Can you imagine the laughter and all out embarrassment if someone dare mention a Rick Ross album in that thread. I never tried to or implied the point that just because you don't have a top 5 southern album doesn't mean you aren't making good music. More so that the point is to make music that will be discussed or more importantly listened to YEARS down the line. Which is where Rick Ross and his band of Israelites fall short. Hardly anyone will be listening to or discussing Rick Ross and his music years from now.....................................and rightly so.

Going thru this thread iI'veseen numerous ppeople say deeper than rap is his best/personal classic and that was in 09, 6 years ago. I'm not saying son whole resume gonnabe popping in 2020 but to say people wwon'trevisit it your lying to yourself. I'm pretty sure u even listened to kingdom come or bp3 this year and to a large percentage of us that **** was trash.
