I wanted to narrow the question to see who everyone thinks will be our starting PG next year.
Teague?
Rondo?
Conley?
Rubio?
Calderon?
Jennings?
Grant?
Jimmer?
I wouldn't be surprised if Rondo is here, for better or worse.
Caldo gonna hold it down next year
Caldo gotta run the point for the tank next year.
Trade Melo for Klay and Barnes
Sign Conley
Lose in Finals to GS
The Knicks record dating back to the start of the 2014-15 season is a woeful 41-100 which puts even more pressure on Knicks president Phil Jackson to significantly improve the team. Jackson's hope is to keep Kurt Rambis as his head coach and Rambis would enhance his candidacy with a strong finish over the final 23 games.
If the Knicks completely fall apart Dolan may not sign off on Jackson's next coaching hire, whether that is Rambis, Brian Shaw or Luke Walton. Dolan wasn't in favor of Jackson's first choice, Steve Kerr, and if Dolan were to interfere again that could expedite Jackson's departure.
Anthony has publicly supported Jackson but it is clear that he is losing patience with the direction of the club. It's also worth noting that several players have privately expressed their dissatisfaction with Jackson's triangle offensive system. The case could be made that the Knicks real issues begin and end at the other end of the court.
It's crazy to me after all this time you guys still attribute the words from reporters to the person who they're talking about intentions. The Knicks record dating back to the start of the 2014-15 season is a woeful 41-100 which puts even more pressure on Knicks president Phil Jackson to significantly improve the team. Phil's stubbornness is annoying. The game has changed. You can't get by with a below average PG & midrange jumpers anymore.
11 years apart just means we have someone to pass the torch. But nothing matters till a complete roster is put together.I can definitely see Phil bringing him back cause he knows the triangle. I'll be ok with almost any coach not named Kurt Rambis or Brian Shaw.
We're not in a good place at all right now. Our best & 2nd best players are 11 years apart, we probably won't attract a big name FA, we have no draft pick, & our president insists on running the triangle.
I've changed my views on the future of Melo/Phil these last few weeks. Maybe it's the frustration talking :\
